What book are you reading right now?

I thought I'd revive this classic old thread as I couldn't find the original.

I am currently reading Suetonius, 'The Twelve Caesars'.

How about you?

Autobiography of an underrated film-maker. Decently-written and full of great anecdotes.

Fascinating book on the Fabs' relationship with Autntie. A treasure trove of information and great pictures:

Yes, Kevin, the quality of research and writing you would expect from Hastings. The book covers the last year of the war in the Pacific including chapters of the fighting in Burma and Manchuria which I was hardly familiar with.

A lovely, lovely thing.

So well put together and absolutely gorgeous photographs.

Talk about a labour of love. It makes me smile.

In fact, one of my favourite things of all.

I like the cut of the heft of the jib of that book, Jamie. I love libraries and spend a lot of time at the London Library in St James's:

In Loco Parentis by Simon Watson: the sixth and final volume in the Sons of the Morning series. A semi -autobiographical take on a public school upbringing.

Just starting it.

Martin Cruz Smith is a talented writer but I do not recommend reading Tatiana.

Best read in a long time. Funny, page turner, insightful to a much harder time in history from a Scottish and English perspective.
