One thing I will say though the prices on Amazon UK and Amazon DE are a rip off at approx £145. The US has it at about £97 however Amazon Fr has it for £125. Go figure.

My advice has always been check all the Euro Amazon sites before pre ordering as you would be surprised what the difference can be price wise. I saved £10 on the recent Miles Davis mono set ordering it from Germany.

Thanks again, ewemon. I failed to mention "Let It Be" also missing from above.

If any Europeans buy the set, you'll get a sense of what Americans were originally sold; conglomerations of the Beatles LPs and their singles under titles the lads themselves never heard of. These are the LPs I grew up listening to as a teen, until about 1978 when I discovered a record shop selling imported vinyl. Then things got confusing for me as I discovered the LPs as the Beatles had released them. I always thought the imports had better SQ, esp the dynamic range on the bottom end.

Once Sgt Peppers established the notion of a concept album Capitol could no longer make hash of the Beatles LPs and singles, with the exception of Magical Mystery Tour, which was a full LP here in the US.

Oh, and seeing now it's stereo and mono mixes together it must be a CD set, not vinyl.

Following their debut award-winning album Moonfire, Boy & Bear released Harlequin Dream, their bold and brave 2013 album recorded in their hometown of Sydney at legendary Alberts Studio and mixed by Phil Ek (Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes, Modest Mouse). The lead single, "Southern Sun," has a powerful urgency not unlike the best of Bruce Springsteen or Fleetwood Mac, while a sprinkling of strings and brass brings life and color to such standouts as "Back down the Black," "Old Town Blues" and "Stranger." Boy & Bear's debut record Moonfire won five ARIA awards, including Album of the Year.

After a steady build up of stateside buzz and support, Kettering, England's favorite psychedelic sons Temples are announcing their debut full-length, Sun Structures. It's a record that's destined to set out the band's stall as Britain's premier retro-futurists, with influences ranging from '60s psychedelia to Motown, glam, and Krautrock, all viewed through a very modern kaleidoscope - and always keeping the song at the heart of it all. Recorded in the box-room of guitarist/vocalist James Bagshaw's home, the aim was "Jack Nitzsche on a DIY budget," and with one listen to first single off the record, "Mesmerize," it's pretty clear that they've succeeded.

Produced by and co-written with John Leventhal, this album marks Cash s Decca/ Blue Note debut.
The River & The Thread is Rosanne Cash s first album in more than four years. Cash wrote the album s 11 original songs with her longtime collaborator (and husband) John Leventhal, who also served as producer, arranger and guitarist.
With The River & The Thread , Cash turns her attention to American lives and locations. The album richly evokes the Southern landscape physical, musical, emotional and examines the indelible impressions it has made on our own collective culture and on Cash.

The River & The Thread is sweeping in its breadth, capturing a unique, multi-generational cast of characters, from a Civil War soldier off to fight in Virginia to a New Deal-era farmer in Arkansas to a contemporary Mobile, AL couple. While Cash and Leventhal found inspiration in the many musical styles associated with the South swampy Delta blues, gospel, Appalachian folk, country and rock, to name a few this is a completely contemporary collection. Cash s crystalline voice and Leventhal s compelling guitar work are at the heart of the album, and they bring in additional instrumentation to suit the tone of each particular song, from the delicate orchestral passages of Night School, (which nods to Stephen Foster, who also had a deep affection for the South) to the ghostly keyboards of the album closer Money Road . If I never make another album I will be content, because I made this one, says Cash of The River & The Thread , which is a marked departure from her earlier works.
