What new releases are you looking forward to?

I'll start the ball rolling...
I am looking forward to this. Very much indeed. Released 18 May.
And he is playing (again!) the Monforte Jazz Festival, in Piedmont, one of the most astonishing and delightful concert venues I've ever visited, a natural amphitheatre than can hold about 800 people at most, in a beautiful part of the world.
But also the Royal Festival Hall in September.
If you visit his website, www.yanntiersen.com, currently, you can see a concert video that was filmed and broadcast on Monday, on the Brittany island where he lives (the sound quality isn't great, but it looks like a cold windy day).
An amazing composer and musician. "Dust Lane" is one of my all time favourite albums, and this one looks set to be on a par and in a similar vein. Can't wait.
What's the story with that? New material or live?
New recordings of duets recorded at Jarrett's home studio and reworking of previous duets, currently being described as a follow up to Jasmine.

'Salmesykkel', the debut album by the jazz group Moskus, received glowing reviews and was nominated for two Norwegian Grammies. In their eagerly awaited second album, 'Mestertyven' (Master Thief), the trio, comprising pianist Anja Lauvdal, bassist Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson and drummer Hans Hulbækmo, are taking their music into an exciting new direction.
"We set ourselves up in the church with sound technician Audun Strype, without any tunes ready, but with plenty of ideas after several tours and a lot of experimentation at a rehearsal venue." The fact that the ideas evolved then and there, and that the tunes were created while the "tape was running", helped to give the album a very special atmosphere.
The hours of recorded material were later trimmed down, resulting in an album with a far broader range, greater wealth of ideas, and more madness than the previous one. The sense of melody and playfulness that was apparent on the trio's debut album however, is still very much present on their second.
Personnel: Anja Lauvdal (piano), Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson (double bass), Hans Hulbækmo (drums)
The improvisational trio 1982 consists of fiddler Nils Økland and organist Sigbjørn Apeland (who have recorded together for ECM) alongside drummer Øyvind Skarbø. They have already released three critically acclaimed albums. On 'A/B' they have invited wind players including Fredrik Ljungkvist (Atomic), Erik Johannessen (Jaga Jazzist) and trumpeter/composer/conductor Stian Omenås to participate in an unusual collaboration.
The album is built up with the classic LP structure of an A side and a B side, with a long piece, "18:16", filling the entire A side. This piece clearly stands out as the most distinctive in 1982's discography up to now. Taking his point of departure in improvisations recorded by the trio, trumpeter and composer Stian Omenås has "expanded on" the idiom and has composed and arranged music for a wind sextet that has been layered on top of the original improvisation.
The second album from drummer Øyvind Skarbø's trio Bly de Blyant, comprised of the Icelandic guitarist Hilmar Jensson (TYFT, Jim Black's AlasNoAxis) and the Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily (Marc Ribot, Will Oldham, John Zorn) in addition to Skarbø, who received glowing reviews for their adventurous debut album 'ABC'. This 180g vinyl version is limited edition and includes the CD of the album.
One important point of similarity between 'ABC' and 'Hindsight Bias' is the unprejudiced attitude towards mixing and drawing inspiration from different genres. The members of the trio find references everywhere, and are capable of combining them in an entirely uninhibited manner. Despite their broad-minded eclecticism, the band manage to maintain credibility in everything they do, whether it is prog-inspired rock ("Michael Jackson Pollock"), groovy, twisted instrumental soul ("Westkreuz"), or disco with a banjo ("Laura"). This is a band that feels at home no matter which musical impulse they choose to pursue.
Personnel: Shahzad Ismaily (bass, Moog, organ, banjo, drum machine, voice), Hilmar Jensson (guitar, "snake" guitar, bass, piano, voice), Øyvind Skarbø (drums, percussion, voice)
The three albums listed above seem to be on Spotify UK despite not being released yet.
