As a jazz fan I have to say that the newish label of Smoke Session Records has, IMHO, released consistently great albums and so I'm looking forward to this one. Due in March.

ECM Records to release two Keith Jarrett albums for his 70th birthday

According to the New York Times:

“Mr. Jarrett turns 70 in May. To mark the occasion, ECM has scheduled two releases: a classical album and an album of solo inventions.”

More information can be found in an article by JazzEcho, where it is mentioned that both albums should be released on May 8, 2015. The first one, entitled “Creation”, includes nine pieces from six solo concerts recorded in 2014 in Tokyo, Toronto, Paris, and Rome. The second one, entitled “Samuel Barber/Béla Bartók”, includes compositions by Barber and Bartók, recorded in 1984-85 with the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern (directed by Dennis Russell Davies) and with the New Japan Philharmonic (directed by Kazuyoshi Akiyama).

Jimmy Page Soundtracks album.

Jimmy Page: Sound Tracks
Quadruple boxset featuring unheard archive material
Introducing Sound Tracks by Jimmy Page: a special edition box set bringing together JP’s extraordinary compositions for the films Lucifer Rising and Death Wish II along with additional archive material for the first time.

The quadruple box set is available to pre-order now and new discs Lucifer Rising: The Second Coming and Death Wish II: Expansion include rare, never-before-heard tracks. The album will be released on Friday, 06 March 2015.

Speaking about the release, JP explains;
“The archive material and work included here serve as an illustration of the ongoing process at the time of these two projects.”

The signed Deluxe box set is restricted to just 109 copies ....

Due to incredibly high demand and in the interests of fairness, these 109 items will only be available to purchase via a ballot.

Did anyone here manage to get a copy of this?

I was quite looking forward to the new Muse album, but having heard the first song*, and seen the artwork, I'm not so sure.

*Psycho - sounds like someone doing a Muse piss-take:

I quite like Yes, but I'm wondering exactly who might buy a fourteen cd set that is - apparently - the same concert set-list played seven times:
