What was the last vinyl you bought?

Arrived today in the post:
matt,
Which pressing is that?
Estelle Feat Kanye West- American Boy 12" (Explicit Version) - 2008
matt,
Which pressing is that?
Kuma,
It is a Jazz Wax Records pressing I picked up fairly cheaply on a well known web site. It sounds pretty good although I must admit I do not have another copy to compare it to. Alma and David played it for me at the shop a couple of months ago.
Matt
Thanks Matt.
1969 first UK pressing Vertigo Swirl label.
Since I missed the boat on the Back to Black original pressing ( not it's apparently a collector's item ), this is just a reissue by a record label I have never heard of.
Curious how it sounds...
Kuma,
I bought the OP of Back To Black this past December from Amazon for $10. Discogs gives the pertinent info for identifying the OP; the parental advisory logo on the front cover is one means of distinguishing it without having to open it.
Joe,
Not any more. The cheapest US seller offers it for 100 bucks now. :/
How does it sound?
Does it sounds better than a CD?
The one I just bought is a 3rd pressing so it's a sort of miracle if it sounds better than my CD, tho.
Kuma,
I don't have any other format to compare it to.
It was a Sterling mastering with "RJ" inscribed. Ray Jonas I believe.
I'll give the BTB vinyl a dedicated listen in the next day or so and report my thoughts (I'm out in my shop listening to CDs at the moment).
Guess I got lucky buying mine when I did.
A plug for Kiwi music, my most recent is the newly released Phoenix Foundation GUYD, Bloody Marvellous!
Thanks joe.
I am looking forward to your findings.
Chris Stapleton "Traveler" This is definitely my discovery go the year so far. The guy poured 15 years of his life into the album and it shows. Read about it, streamed it on Spotify, bought the CD, now bought the LP. If you're a fan of contemporary country, soul, roots or southern rock (basically everything that falls under the catch all phrase of "Americana") this is worth investigating.
I've had Ryan Adams - Live at Carnegie Hall boxset for a couple of weeks now. It's excellent and all lps perfectly pressed too.
Not as good as Live After Deaf vinyl boxset though.
1970 UK second issue on the small 'swirl' Vertigo label.
Yesterday I ordered a copy of Steve Hackett's first ' Genesis Revisited' album from Burning Shed. Apparently it comes with a copy of the CD too which will be handy for convenience listening through the NDS whilst the LPs can be saved for serious listening.
Roger Waters Amused to death. Enjoyed it, and it led me to play some of his other stuff which I have had on vinyl since theiir release.
Kind of buried amongst about 400 others in a collection.
Roadside is pretty amazing, never i'd find that anywhere, great record.
In nice unplayed condition. (youtube video is not from me)
I picked up an early (A10/B9 - according to Vernon Fitch's site it's a fifth pressing) UK press of this for just a tenner. The vinyl is mint, but the posters and stickers are missing; and although the cover is VG there's a price sticker on the front. Listening to it now - very good. Think I got a bargain.
