What was the last vinyl you bought?

Arrived today in the post:
@ kuma & Richard I am a Music Matters 33rpm series sudscriber. Today I received notification that the next two release in the series have been dispatched [Wayne Shorter & Freddie Hubbard] slightly later than scheduled. There is a lot of speculation on other forums that there will be no new issues after the scheduled 2015 releases. However as far as I am aware MM have made no official announcement as to what if anything will follow. However I do expect MM to release the rest of the advertised 2015 catalogue which I think due to the delays will take use into 2016. After that who knows.
Regards Graham.
ah ok.
So still a hear say.
They are known to release the vinyl late sometimes, in case of a production delay.
I hope they keep continue to next year. I love their 33 RPM reissues.
I realised how lucky we are even more after I saw a poor production quality of Don Was 75th Anniversary Blue Note reissue vinyl.

Agree kuma, MM have over the last 18months given us some of the finest SQ reissues and cover art I have ever heard, long may it continue....I have also heard bad reports regarding the poor quality of the Don Was [digital] Blue Note vinyl reissues.
Take care Graham.
Grahm,
Did you subscribe to their 45 rpm series, too?
I am hoping they'll redo some of the titles in 33 rpm such as 'Song for my father' 'Real Mccoy' and 'Night Dreamer'.
I am pretty certain that a minute they call it a quit, the price of these records are going to sky rocket.

Hi kuma, unfortunately no I was a little late to the 45 rpm party. I certainly hope MM release at lest some of the 45rpm releases in 2016 however, I am not that hopeful. By the way do you happen to know how many titles where released on 45? I also agree that both the 33 & the 45s will become collectors items when MM do decide to call it a day.
Graham.
Graham,
I just did a quick search at one of the online record vendor and showing there are 105 45 rpm and 32 33 rpm Music Matters titles.
Between them there are a few overlap but rather impressive catalogue they offer.
Shrewd record collectors are buying two copies of each titles. I am nowhere near a completist as others.
Me, I can' be bothered getting up so often to listen to an album. I found it ruins my listening experience.

Hi kuma, sorry for the delay work!
Thank you for the research on the number of 45 rpm MM releases. I did not realise they had released quite so many. I don't think we will get anything like that number released on 33rpm unfortunately.
Total agree with the phaff of playing 45s more a work out than a relaxing listening experience.

Hi sg, this is one of my all time favourite albums. Do you have an original 1987 RCA pressing If so I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on how the newley mastered copy measures up. As my original copy sounds superb and has been a reference album of mine for a long time. Hope you are enjoying your new album.
Graham.
FYI,
I have just received my copy today and compared it to my Cypress/RCA copy.
IMHO the Cypress/RCA version is much better, more open and better dynamics.
If Quad 33 (Graham) is reading this sorry for the delay in responding. I've had a delivery problem (sent to wrong address). Having just put it through the RCM and played it, I'm please with the pressing and recording, but unlike apye! I have no reference to judge it against.
The product packaging and presentation is very good. Comes in a heavy reusable sealed plastic album cover and antistatic poly liner. The cover is heavy card and contains and album sized card insert with credits and lyrics.
If you want to preserve your original I think it's worth a punt.

Thanks G, hope you enjoy your album.
The one JW album I would really like on vinyl is "The Well" which I have on CD and it sounds fantastic however, I have only ever seen it as a box set 45 rpm at eye watering prices.

Doug,
Do you know if they cut lacquer from the original analogue source?
Whilst you are at it, put this one on your pre-order, too.
Looks like Warner is on the vinyl band wagon, and I am certainly curious to hear Tharaud's fist vinyl release.
