Arrived today in the post:
Received an email saying this is on it's way!
Cool!... just checked my inbox and no email about my order yet although arrival date is shown as this Friday 6th Nov which will be a real treat for the weekend after cooking burgers at the village bonfire!
Did you go for vinyl or digital?

Just arrived. Nice package. Will clean the vinyl and have a listen tonight.
As I said before it's a well packaged product. Just finishing the first side of LP1 and the SQ is far better than I expected.

Really looking forward to receivng my copy.

Another try for Don Was Blue Note 75th Anniversary reissue.
Coltrane wasn't bad, on the wild side for me...but not as much as Jazz Messengers.
Bill Evans was awesome!
Spaces - Two
With glow in the dark sleeves!

Mine's sitting at home unopened - as soon as it arrived I had to head off to get a train to London - v frustrating but I look forward to hearing it when I get back at the weekend.

Well, then you'd love Kenny Burrell, Grant Green and big breathy sound of Gene Ammons, Ben Webster etc...

Kuma is going to make me broke:
Its pretty bad when I start hiding things from the forums...there were a "few" used country / western I found also; this was a new location I won't reveal, but they had a lot of C/W.
Looks like two more Music Matters 33s are on my way.
And Tharaud's latest Bach Goldberg Variations.

4-LP, 1-DVD set for under £20! An absolute steal!
Bought on 5 Nov @ the fantastic Jaga Jazzist Electric Brixton gig.
My kids won't eat next week, but it was 40% coupon day one...I'm still lost in the Jazz world...so many names. I like "low key" Jazz...I thought it was just slow stuff I liked but not necessarily...it has to be *calm* and relaxed. Even some "fast" Jazz is still chill...
Wish there was a way to tell if a particular album was chill, or "work jazz" by reading it, but I can't figure it out. Only way would be to listen on digital first...but I don't want to ruin the first-time experience of hearing it on vinyl.
After Wes Montgomery and Grant Green I'm a bit already tired of guitar...not my favorite Jazz instrument I'm learning. I like the bass, drums, piano and deep saxophone.
I'm noticing a trend where even "quiet" albums start with a peppy/fast song.
There is listening to music on digital, and hearing it on vinyl IMO.

Sadly No Kevin. How about you?
KEVIN COYNE Marjory Razor Blade (1973 UK first issue 20-track double vinyl LP on the black & white 'two virgins' label.
Ahhh Kevin Coyne.....
Whenever his name is mentioned my mind casts back (perhaps unfairly) to 'No Melody'. If ever a track was more appositely named, I can't readily think of it...... ;-)
Dave Gilmours On An Island. Struggled with it on CD or streamed, but the vinyl sounds so much more enjoyable

Me neither, sadly. Still, I like the set very much.
