What was the last vinyl you bought?

Arrived today in the post:
Thanks, Vinyl Gourmet. I'll have to get my order in.
Nigel 66 posted:Hi Kevin-W
I'd only just ordered it when I posted, so unfortunately it hasn't arrived yet - hopefully it'll be here at the weekend. Read a few reviews of it and the SQ is supposed to be good, so I'm looking forward to listening. I'll try and let you know once I've heard it.
Best wishes, Nigel
Nigel, the River's Italy site has a great deal on this at the mo - just £129. I've ordered it from there.
Doh! I paid £173 from their uk site. Oh well, if it's as good as I'm hoping for I'll still be happy.
I have most of the LPs on original or 2nd hand vinyl but they've all been a little 'abused' in the past and the replay isn't great so I'm sure that these will be an improvement (regardless of price).
Hope you enjoy them.

Blackstar vinyl is availbe from the official David Bowie store (UK).
album: £25 + shipping.
I've just ordered mine
I don't very much care for DG's new reissue pressings but can't find the original album so I caved in and ordered.
Another Xmas present - Deep Purple In Rock on 180g. Only ever had as a copy off a schoolmates album on my Ferguson CD recorder in the 70s - amazing though I still remember every beat, but hearing a lot more than my cassette could ever produce!
George Harrison. Gone Troppo.
John Cougar. Chestnut Street Incident.
Shure. Era IV Trackability Test Record.

That's funny, it's also the last vinyl I bought. I ordered it yesterday!

The vinyl LP comes inside a special thick plastic sleeve that goes inside the gatefold cover
Thick plastic sleeve is right. Need a pair of pliers to get it out. Not a great idea as any junk will be seriously scraped across the grooves and static will be a b&gger. Had one full listen. Echoes of the past for sure but still fresh.

Beach Boys - Surfer Girl - Analogue Productions stereo version.
On translucent blue vinyl, ordered from Juno. Looks different from the Music on Vinyl version - this was pressed by RTI. Seems a nice package. Not classic Dame, but I only had it on Cd and this seems a good way to add to the DB vinyl collection.
"Jetplane & Oxbow", the new album by Shearwater. Pre-ordered last year and my Limited Edition Loser Edition 2LP set arrived this morning.
The "Five Years" 13-LP box set, a bargain at just £127 from The River's Italian site. A lovely thing, produced to a very high standard, with a gorgeous book. Cannot wait to start listening to it.
Limited edition (3000 copies globally) white vinyl version. Includes the original 'transparent' cover design and inner sheet.

Hi K, this looks a fab package. Will be interested in how they sound particularly Pin Ups as my original is shot and have it on pre order.

The best Bowie book I've come across is Mick Rock's book 'Moonage Daydream'.
I was lucky to pick up a copy signed by Mick Rock at Proud Gallery in Camden on it's release. It's full of great photoshoots of Bowie by Mick and is also a good read about Bowie during the Ziggy period. Unfortunately it's out of print and is going for silly money secondhand.

Will be doing some heavy listening this weekend Steve and will post my findings. The vinyl looks nice and clean and flat, and the quality of presentation is very high, so i'm hoping for equally good SQ!

Peter Gabriel - Scratch, bought at HMV using my first £20 voucher from their purehmv rewards scheme. Bought on spec as never heard the album before - half way through and mixed feelings so far.
Excellent musically - I agree with Ewemon - and excellent SQ from the vinyl.
Been listening to this over the weekend.
