That CVB is a great album, G. Enjoy it.

Closer came in and by golly I can't find a single marking to tell me the difference between side A and side B...guess I just play whatever side its on when I play it.
The sleeve is the key - one side has four titles and the other has five. This pattern is replicated on the record so......
Unknown Pleasures is a much better album IMHO.

Hmmm, just finished it...I feel they could have broke loose and ripped it up at a few points in the album but didn't...left me frustrated...
Now I want to listen to something like WAR PIGS to let out my frustration.
I can understand your comments but perhaps Closer needs to be listened to after Unknown Pleasures to make any sense.
Some people say, including the band, that the album art was chosen by Curtis as a portend of his own imminent death.
Chopin: Polonaises - Maurizio Pollini (piano)
Ludwig van Beethoven: Sonata No. 30 & 31 - Maurizio Pollini (piano)
Rachmaninov: Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2 - Krystian Zimerman (piano) | Seiji Ozawa / Boston Symphony Orchestra
Chopin: Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2 - Krystian Zimerman (piano) | Polish Festival Orchestra
Richard Wagner: Jonas Kaufmann (tenor)
Vivaldi: The Four Seasons - Janine Jansen (violin)

It wasn't. Neither album sleeve was seen by the band beforehand. As with Unknown Pleasures, the sleeve was designed by Peter Saville (it's a photo of a tomb in Genoa by Bernard Pierre Wolff, who specialised in photographing statuary). The sleeve was prepared while the album was still being recorded at the Floyd's Britannia Row studio in London.
A few days after Curtis' death, Saville rang [Factory Records supremo] Tony Wilson in a panic, saying, "This looks like a fcuking tombstone!". In the end, Wilson, the band and their manager Rob Gretton decided that it would be too expensive and time-consuming to re-do the sleeve.
I was told this personally some years later on different occasions by the members of New Order, as well as Wilson, Gretton and Saville. I certainly don't remember any of the band saying that.
I went to see him and his trio last night. I was so impressed that I bought his new album during the interview:
I was so impressed by the second set of last night's gig that I bought another album on the way out:
Better late than never.
Beck: Morning Phase
Mozart PIano Concertos: Gulda/Abbado
Probably this reissue does not sound as good as the original but I could not find one locally.
Dolly Parton - Live At Glastonbury. What a great live album. Clear vinyl, perfectly pressed.
