ken,
I haven't listened to too many Mozarts No.20 but I've still enough stack to go through including Haskil/Klemperer! and Annie Fisher/Lukacs along with Serkin/Schneider set.
The performance I have heard so far:
Haskil/Fricsay ( Studio & LIve version )/RIAS Symphony
Haskil/Markevitch/
Casadesus/Szell/Cleveland
Richter/Wisloki/Warsaw Phil
Anda/Anda
Ax/Mata/Dallas Symphony
Serkin/Abbado/LSO
Cooper/Marriner
Uchida/Tate
Pletnev/Pletnev
Above list, my fave so far are the Haskil/Markevitch, Cooper and Pletnev. But Maria Joao Pires & newer Uchida are on my list per EJS.

Hi Steve.
Nice does it have the 'real zip' cover?
Regards Graham.
Mozart Four Piano Concerti: No.13, 20, 26 27:
Found this whilst loitering at Ebay.
Finally getting around to listen to Maria Joao Pires.
This is her earliest 70s recording of Mozart concerti.

Hi Graham,
Yes it does. Not bad for £25. I'm waiting for some other 'bargains' to arrive in the next few days.

BY THE LIGHT OF THE MOON LP (VINYL) UK LONDON 1987
LP Thor's Hammer © 2011
Arrived today from Burning Shed £21.60 to include delivery.
"A recording of Fotheringay performing live at Grugahalle, Essen, Germany, on 23 October 1970.
Mastered by Jerry Donahue and featuring sleeve notes by Sandy Denny biographer, Philip Ward, Essen 1970 - recorded semi-professionally by the festival host - is an intriguing insight into another side of this short-lived but much admired band."
Already given it a spin on the sondek...
It sounds live and full of emotion musically, but distant with 'very large hall' reverberation problems, so there is much [perhaps too much] to tolerate with the sound quality. Wot a shame : (
If you like SQ above all else avoid this one ; )
Debs
From TomToms B/D party:-
...and yes I already had it. Note to self get Collectorz app for iPhone.

Hi Steve. Both albums arrived today. Not had chance to play them yet, but yes I am sure I wll enjoy them. Thanks again for the heads up.
Regards Graham.
One of my favorite singer/song writers -- I love his latest album! In fact, I love every song on the album, and I can't remember the last time I could say that. This is a step up from his last two IMHO. Hiatt shows no signs of slowing down, losing his voice, or losing his drive to create good music. Have seen him live maybe half a dozen times, and now have a strong desire to do so again.
The pressing itself (New West Records B008SVS3M0) is very good. 3 sides, flat and quiet, but best of all -- great dynamics!
1969 Harvest 1st press. A real bargain at £26 on eBay (book price at least £150). I struck lucky with this one and it's a great album.
One of three "Black Friday Record Store Day" limited editition, numbered reissues I bought yesterday. This was pressed at RTI, and the barcode says "8 87654 07651 9". It sounds so much better than my beat up old copy from 1960 (CL 1480), and is infinitely better than my 1987 digital remaster.
Purchase #2 was Gary Clark, Jr.'s debut album...
A two album set (Warner Brothers 531981-2) -- one is blue, and the other is black...for obvious reasons! I don't normally go in for "neo-soul", but this crosses over into rock and blues. He has a great voice, and is an amazing guitar player, and as a result, the album is getting great reviews. Well deserved IMO. Check him out if you have Spotify, and let me know what you think!
And finally, #3 is for us Deadheads. This Rhino double album has a bar code of 81227-97170, and was "produced from the original 7 1/2 i.p.s. 7" reels of quarter-track 1/4" tape". A really strong gig, and as expected, the sound quality is outstanding!
Another Live in Tokyo Richter Schubert Sonatas.
One of my favourite Canadian bands, missed buying when first released.

Took a chance on buying the Blue Vinyl after reading a Prog Magazine article about Magenta's Rob Reed assembling an impressive number of musicians for his long term project.
