Thanks Steve, I was very pleasantly surprised when I found the stall last Sunday whist on a visit to London for my daughters birthday. The records had all clearly been cleaned and the guy had a TT on the stall not an LP12 and he was very willing to give them a spin. He clearly had confidence in his products. The SQ and covers on all four is excellent; however the Georgie Fame is the best of the bunch, which is superb. I would just like to say it has been a pleasure talking music and vinyl with you by the medium of the forum and can I wish you and all your family a very peaceful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. All the very best.
Graham.
And Seasons Greetings to you and yours Graham. Happy listening.

I bought that MFP of Jeff Beck new from Woolies, something like 17/-, in 1968, and I still have it.
My GlassWorks buying cycle has commenced.
A rewarding, random find for $9 after spending hours trolling the s/h bins. Nice SQ. The date on mine is 1991. Good listen. No, that's not my picture with the LP on the carpet .
I was so impressed with the re-master of the Elvis 30 No'1's vinyl I bought recently I thought I would give another Elvis re-issue ago as well as the recent re-release of ELO's 'Out of the Blue'.

Hi Steve. Yes, it is everything you said; its is better than "Absolute Live" The SQ is stunning as you are aware and the band sound fantastic. We watched the 'Live at the the Bowl' on Sky Arts a couple of weeks ago and when my partner listened to the Felt Concert she commented that all the band sounded more relaxed in particular Jim. Have you listened to the Live at The Bowl '68 album, if so how does it compare?. Hope you are enjoying the Holiday, are you on call? I have just returned from court after dealing with two youths! But it will be back to the music this afternoon. Take care

Hi Graham,
Live at the Bowl is good but Felt Forum is IMO better.
I'm supposed to be on holiday this week but went in to report some last minute MRI scans on Xmas eve and I have to inject a colleagues back tomorrow morning. I do a lot of the cooking over the Xmas period and we have the rest of the clan arriving today for a few days, so there'll be 13 in the house. I'll have a rest when they all go on Saturday. I haven't had much chance to listen to a lot of music this week, I just grab a half hour now and again, especially when programmes like Downton Abbey are on.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Music on Vinyl (Christmas Present)
Got it.

Graham,
Howlin'Wolf is a true legend. He is one of the acts I remember seeing at the Folk Blues Festival at Belle Vue. My father took me along to 'educate' me. I think I was only eight. Howlin' Wolf seemed like a giant on stage and his voice was immense. One of my blues heroes. On a number of LPs he's accompanied by Hubert Sumlin who's a brilliant blues guitarist.
Enjoy

Morning Steve,
Slightly disappointed to find it filled with alternate versions and live recordings,But Its not a bad album for those getting into Howlin Wolf.
Have you any HW recommendations I have a number of CD including the fabulous " London Sessions" but would like to expand the vinyl collection in 2013.
Happy New Year
Graham.
Hi Graham,
For me the three best Howlin' Wolf albums are;
'Moanin' in the Moonlight' (Smokestack Lightning, I Asked for Water (She Gave Me Gasoline),How Many More Years).
'Howlin' Wolf', rocking chair album (Red Rooster, Wang Dang Doodle, Back Door Man, Spoonful).
'The Real Folk Blues' (Killing Floor, Sittin' On Top Of The World, Natchez Burnin', Built For Comfort).
In addition there is also a great album called 'Super Super Blues Band' with Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley. This also has my favourite blues pianist Otis Spann.

Steve, just a quick question . I have received two copy's of "Felt Fourm" for Christmas . One has a matt finish gatefold cover with the records pressed in the USA, the other has a gloss gatefold cover with the records pressed in the EU. I have played both and I think the USA pressings sound slightly better just! I would be interested in your thoughts, by the way I will be keeping both copy's
