"Unfortunately a very poor gig when we saw them , the band were good but the audience were very flat. That's Bracknell for you".

Hi BigH47.

This is slightly off post, but your comment on the audience in Bracknell being flat, got me thinking. I have been to so many gigs in Sheffield when the audience just would not engage with the band, early Pink Floyd gigs come to mind. I thought it was just a Sheffield / Yorkshire thing, but may be not. Could be a good thread 'Which part of the country have the worst audiences'

Regards Graham.

Yes what great musical tastes we have. A friend put me onto the Runrig album. I first heard it on vinyl, but bought a CD copy which in this particular case was a mistake, although handy for iTunes. This is a recording that just sounds so much better on LP imo, the CD sounds weedy by comparison.

Bought these three last night from s/h shop for $12.  All jackets, sleeves and vinyl are clean and in VG or better condition. Makes me wonder if it was from the same seller.

From the TV sitcom of the same name.  Now you're getting the mid-70s groove on!

joerand,

I know nothing of the sitcom since it never made it to Japan.

I've bought a CD a long time ago and  been looking to find the tune on a record.

So I am delighted when I saw this vinyl.

This is a '74 release, so It should be AAA.

Re Chico and the Man:  Not my cup of tea as a sitcom, but it was hugely popular due to the charisma of the Mexican-American Chico character, played by Freddie Prinze.  Unfortunately, the actor committed suicide at age 22, allegedly due to depression and drug abuse.

I spent the whole day on Sunday listening to vinyl, it's been a long while since I could spare that much time tbh, I really got into Bowie again, so after a quick Amazon search I realised that I've never listened to 'Heathen', shocking I know, so I ordered that and the 40th anniversary edition of 'Space Oddity' both on vinyl, in preparation for his new album.

I wish Bowie would do a similar vinyl box set to what the Beatles have just done, that would be amazing.

Robert Johnson: King of the Delta Blues Singers

I generally do not care much for blues but I like these extremely 'primitive' tunes mainly due to his far out lyrics.

White Zombie: Astro Creep 2000

Bought it just for the 'More Human than Human'. This is a MOV reissue so I am hoping that the sound quality would be decent.
