While doing errands yesterday I happened upon an HMV store so I stepped in to look around.  Somewhat dismayed that the music section had been pushed to the back end of the shop, but joy of joys, a vinyl section!  Funnily enough, although there were only about 100 or so albums on display this was the busiest part of the shop.  I was intrigued by this 2LP reissue - particularly the sticker on the front which read Recut for vinyl from the original analog tapes - so took a punt.  When it was first released I originally bought this on CD from J&R Music World.  It received a lot of play and has always evoked great memories of my time in NY.  I'll probably give it a spin tonight.

Kuma, good find - I thought this was long out of print.  What do you make of it?  The originals are wonderful and some of my most treasured Columbia EMIs.  Even the cfp reissues are good and often available for only a few pounds s/h.

Just arrived. Arve Henrickson "Solidification" - 7-LP box set with booklet and two DVDs containing 24/96 WAVs, 24/44 WAVs 16/24 WAVs and FLACs. Only £39. Bargain.

Not played the vinyl as yet Christmas present! I also bought it on CD which I listened to last night. My first impression is it's better than Vol1 in both SQ and musical content. Not sure if the four bonus interview tracks are included on the vinyl? But found all four fascinating both to the type of questions asked by Brian Matthews and the boys answers.

I still find it staggering that one,their is still unreleased Beatles material out there and two I am still buying it. It has been a saying in our house since I was sixteen that you have to have some Beatles for Christmas never thought it would be the case fifty years on, however this year will be cheaper than last years vinyl box set

@Kevin-W. Certainly does look like outstanding VFM. I'm curious if you notice any difference in quality (sonics or surface noise) between the black versus white vinyl.
