Arrived today in the post:
Steve, congratulations what's the story behind this fantastic gift?
Graham.
nice gift!
Some nice music there. I hope they're in good nick.
As a joke one of my work colleagues put a note in reception
Wanted any old records
Free would be nice because
I'm underpaid and over worked
See Steve
My boss went mad and didn't see the funny side of it,but one customer saw it when he was booking in his car for a service.
Came in today and just gave me the lot.

Steve there all in really good condition.Fireball,Machine Head, Technical Ecstasy and Live at Leeds(complete with poster) all look to be in better nick than the copies I've got.
You should have given him a free service for his car.
Arrives tomorrow morning. Bought on Stu's recommendation. Sounds good on Autorip so looking forward to the vinyl coming.

A birthday present
Ah. Might need to get that one. How is it compared to the CD? The first time I heard them was a bootleg of some of their singles - I think now all released. Think I need to get back to vinyl on that.

OK. Stu was fine the last time we spoke.
Minty Island 1st press double album from my guy at the market.
One look at who has produced this will tell you just how good that production is.
I have a feeling this will end up in a fair few dems from here on in.
His recording buddy has a solo album out shortly (on vinyl also) & that is already on pre -order.
You should have given him a free service for his car.
Steve after finding out what the Dr Strangely Strange and the Graham Bond albums book at and what a few have been sold for he'll definitely get a free service next year.

Good album that.
I have also got the Stu recommendation Robby Krieger album, not played it yet.
Music Matters 33rpm 180g analogue remaster arriving from Amazon tomorrow.
Have most of RT's albums, and I don't normally go in for any "best of" collections. I also usually shy away from colored, or in this case, clear vinyl...but glad I took a chance on these yesterday. Shockingly good sound quality (Bong Load Records, BL 52, 2xLPs, 2001).

Killer album Steve, and this MM reissue is getting particularly good reviews. Hope it lives up to expectations!
ATB.

Thanks Hook.
It's probably my most played Blue Note album. I have an '80s DMM Blue Note stereo copy and the Classic Records Mono version. I'm very much looking forward to hearing the MM version which will replace the '80s version. I'll be giving that copy to Julian H as he's been looking for a copy.

Too much vinyl!
I finally got my VPI RCM out semi-permanently - I have a huge stash of used vinyl I got when I got my turntable about 3 years ago. Most hasn't been cleaned, and thus never been played. I need to dig through some of that before getting new vinyl. But, that one is at the top of the list.
Don't leave it too long for the Music Matters version as it's a limited release.
Thievery Corporation Saudade
Classic Records LP. Superb SQ.
From Pete at the market this afternoon. Minty 1st press Vertigo Swirl for half book price. This LP is not to everybody's taste but I like it. Have you played your copy yet Steve C?
