What was the last vinyl you bought?

Not yet on my to listen list along with the Dr Strangely Strange.

Give it a few listens Steve. The first few tracks are a bit left field but the later tracks are more typically Graham Bond. There is a connection with the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation LPs I recommended some time ago.

I remember the haunting melody of Mancini's Sunflower as well as Mahler's Adagio from the Symphony 5th in the slow moving Visconti's Death in Venice.


And Aria from Diva, an art house cinema from the 80s. I recall I was more fascinated by the Nagra recorder. But this little known song from the opera "La Wally" is beautiful.

This will arrive on Wednesday, anyone got a copy if so what's the SQ like?

i got this when it came out as the box set, its damn good.

Music Matters 33rpm analogue remaster vinyl. This was waiting on my return from Italy yesterday and a very nice treat it is too. Superb SQ and a great album.

I went on a bing around RSD with MoFi.com,  wow the 180g is really amazing.  Had a friend over Sunday to listen to Ellington at Newport, the crowd goes wild on the second side, amazing performance. Then 2 early Billie Holiday recordings from a different company, she was in the room, so intimate with every breath, smile or sorrow,  amazing.  Henry loves my system but this took it to new heights with my new Palmer TT.

After over 2 weeks of waiting for a £35 Music Matters copy

it's just arrived here today from Amazon : )

The Amazon price has since risen to £57.99 !

180g Back To Black reissue. Unfortunately vinyl not as quiet as I'd like.

Arrived from Amazon...

and...

1st press 1970 UK blue Pye 25-track MONO double LP set. Contains their singles and some album tracks up to 1969. This seems quite rare and I've never seen a copy before. Bought for £10 at the market today. LPs in excellent condition.

Allman Brothers,Ten Years After and Johnny Winter all in excellent condition.

That's the last of my credit gone from the last lot of vinyl I exchanged.

Brilliantly produced box set.  Great sound, perfect pressings and, of course, some of the most beautiful, heartfelt live jazz ever recorded.  Real desert island stuff this!
