Football Season 2017/18

As requested by Steve (Paper Plane) on the 16/17 thread, here's a new one for 2017/18. All leagues/divisions welcome.
Come on you Irons!
I have no idea what Chelsea thought they were playing for. Goal difference?
Dismal. I would ask for a full refund if I'd travelled to watch it.
Cheer up. You've still got the Champions League, Jamie.
What a sickener for the Eagles. A rare re-appearance of 'Fergie time'?
A good game at Wembley this evening. While Spurs were a bit fortunate not to concede a penalty in the first half, they deserved their lead at the break and for most of the game they played well. But then........well, they went 'Spursy'. A big disappointment of course but I was pleased for Buffon in his last season.

OOOOuch ! That 90 minutes madness hurts so so much. We do seem to have that abiility to.....

I too enjoyed the game on telly. it proved that Spurs aren't quite the full Monty yet.
I don't rate Vertongenn either and Dier looks like a centre half playing in mid-field which is exactly what he is of course.
The atmosphere at Wembley came across as not great, at least on TV. Brighton and Palaces's grounds seemed louder at the weekend.
All that money and years of agonising over the National Football Ground have led us to a stadium is in the same crap place as before and with the same rubbish atmosphere caused by the fans being too far away from the pitch.
Well, that was, er, memorable, I suppose. Looks like the relationship between the supporters and the Dildos is now broken beyond repair. They, and their Tory henchwoman Brady, must go...
Chelsea win! And played half a decent game too.

LETS HOPE SO, problem is the damage is done , we're not west ham anymore, still echoing in there ears i hope
No material change at the bottom of the PL yesterday, though I can well understand the disappointment of WBA, WHU, Saints and Palace fans. The difference I'm seeing is that the Palace players seem to be playing with more method, confidence, effort and belief than the others. Those factors could be important going into the squeaky-bum period of the final eight games.

Speaking as a Saints fan, it's the failure to try something different that troubles me.

Well done. Our defence clearly needs more work/time to settle in.
Steve
That is'nt you Kev......I think not.......... but..... is there something you are holding back from your Forum chums ? ....
Nah Ian, not me. I'm just behind the goal but given how far away we all are from the pitch, I'd have run out of puff long before reaching Nobes...
Pellegrino just sacked by the Saints. I wonder who they have lined up? Any ideas, Chris?
I think they'll bring in 'Super' Kelvin Davis, goalkeeping legend and fan favourite as a caretaker. The problem with that is that it could all go a bit David Unsworth.
They have two and a half weeks until the next game that matters, against Kev's lot. Maybe they will do something permanent. That might be better, to really use that time.
Always difficult to have an impact so late in the season. Is Davis on the staff already, Chris? If he knows the players and commands their confidence that can often provide a performance boost, at least temporarily. But then a short-term boost is all you need now. A bigger name can be recruited ready for next season.
Harry's available, Chris

I don't think Sandra would have it.
Super Kelv is an assistant coach.
Ah!, Kelvin's your man then, Chris. Given the form of others at the bottom (and Stoke 2 down at home to City at the moment) I don't think you'll need a huge return from the remaining eight games.
Sort of know what you mean. But.... there are three home games left, Chelsea, Bournemouth and Man City... so we need some points from somewhere.

You should be looking to get something from your games away to the Foxes and Toffee's, Chris.
Come on City ! A nice brace from our midfield magician
