Harry Redknapp gets a letter delivered to his house.

Opens it. It's an electricity bill for £17,000 forwarded on from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club..

He rings the club "I think there's been a mistake, you sent me a bill but I haven't worked for you for years!"

"No Harry sorry, but there’s no mistake. You were the last person in the trophy room in 2008 and you left the effing lights on!".

Great Stuff Mike,

Keeping on the Spurs topic this is a good one. When Kyle Walker left them for us he pays more in tax then he earned in wages with them and still way better off.I do admire Spurs with the football they play, but they have really got to get real with their wage structure. How long will Harry Kane stay when the really big offers come in maybe next season ?

I can understand players taking the money as you can set yourself up for life and sort friends and family as you have a limited time at the very top.....and buy some Statement for your swimming pool area of your mansion

Harry apparently is not good with money!!!! Apart from an off shore account and one In Monaco and one in the Camyan Islands he’s broke !!!

As a Gooner, I thought you'd enjoy that one, Wenger.

You really mean Walker pays tax?!

Spurs will always have lesser wages for top players, unless they get a richer owner to compete with owners of the other four top clubs in PL.  So its maximum effort on all fronts sort of David Vs Goliath scenario.  I see Liverpool have reached over the line with Roma, my guarded respect for them but I will be happy if my team finishes over them in the PL!

Congratulations to Liverpool getting to the final.  A terrific achievement in itself, regardless of the result in the final.  Another highly entertaining game tonight, though I'm not sure that a 4-2 win to Roma reflected the game itself (not that LFC will care).

The prospect of Real M v LFC final is mouth-watering. Both sides with highly capable in attack and fragile at the back.

Yes, congratulations to Liverpool.

let’s hope Klopp has better luck in this Final, I didn’t realise he’s lost his last  5 finals.

Agreed!  Will be cheering on LFC in the final, but I do think they will be at a significant disadvantage.

RM has more recent big game experience and success. They also have better depth, and a better keeper. LFC could still eek out a win, but it would take a near perfect game and one or two lucky breaks.

They also face a very stiff challenge on Sunday. Chelsea has been playing really well of late. If I am reading the table correctly, 4th place could easily come down to the final week of matches!

I am trying to work out if this will be on a free TV channel (ie ITV). I'm going to be away and would like to set my recorder in advance. I have a very intermittent interest in football but I think this might be worth watching. Anyone know for sure?

Looks like BT Sport will stream for free but cannot work out if anyone else is allowed to take it. I will be in France at the time so maybe I can find a broadcaster there.

I'd normally rather have root-canal work than watch Christiano Ronaldo strutting and posturing but since I think LFC have a good chance to win I will make an exception in this case.

Your assessment is hard to disagree with, Hook, but the knock-out stages of this year's Champions League has produced so many crazy games and results that 'form' and 'pedigree' seem almost incidental. Not sure how Real will play but I think we can be confident that Klopp will send out his players with instructions to 'go for it'. If they play with the pace and intensity of recent ties I think Real are going to have to rely more on the luck they've been enjoying in the completion so far rather than a disciplined defence. Somehow I don't see the final being a cautious 1-0.

Ironic that 2 teams previously managed by Tony Pullis are going to be relegated.

As a Boro supporter the irony is not lost on Teesside.Whilst he was not everybodies first choice nobody can deny that he has been instrumental in helping the club reach the Championship Play Offs.He has given the team a sense of identity and purpose that was lacking under Garry Monk's tenure. As many pundits have said , Pulis is exactly the type of manager both clubs would have considered to help stave off relegation. Oh well, thats modern day football for you

Job nearly done Kev - Well pleased for the Hammers tonight - from what I saw on Sky they looked really hungry and Leicester just drifting.

Yes Ian - although if Saints win tonight it throws a spanner in the works.

Astonishing goal from Noble.

Posted on: 05 May 2018 by Tabby cat

Yeah Noble said it was one of the best goals he's ever scored......as I type this Everton have just equalized .....Sorry Chris !

Chelsea Ladies win F A Cup, OK so it’s still a bit like watching youth football but some decent play and a couple of cracking goals.

Saints will be sick at conceding a last minute equaliser at Goodison - a point I don't think the Toffee's deserved - but at least go into Tuesday's crunch game against the Swans outside the relegation zone.  There will be a lot of very nervous fans watching that one.

Well done to B'mouth and Pompey.

This Saint is choked following the game at Goodison. I listened on Radio Solent. Saints had done everything and had the game won at 1-0 at the end of the four minutes of injury time. For some reason, according to radio summariser, an extra minute was played, during which an Everton free kick was taken, allegedly from the wrong place, from which, ultimately, they levelled.

Hughes was very fair in his post match radio comments but might be censured for criticism of the officals.

But forget it, we can hold our heads up, and Swansea on Tues is all that matters now.

Positive statements so far (ref. Fergie).

I watched on it BT Sport, Chris. The equaliser was a shot that took a wicked deflection, wrong footing the keeper, who I thought had an excellent game.  Everton were poor. But once the disappointment of losing the extra two points fades, as it will over the next 48 hours, Saints will take a lots of positives from that performance. I think the Swans will be more nervous about Tuesday's game than your lot.
