Welcome to System Pics 2018.
To start things off, here are a couple of pictures of my setup. There have been some big changes over the past year; a 300 and a 555PS, and some extra shelves to accommodate them.

You should be wary that one cold day someone might turn that radiator on
Solid wood can dry out and even crack if too close to a source of heat.
If the rad is permanently off i suppose you need not worry but i does look very ominous seeing what looks like nicely crafted solid oak furniture parked up so close to a rad. And those LPs too...

New and final speakers, working „hard“ for placing them - but the result is quit awesome...
It´s the CE-1 from TAD.

Very nice Tom. Enjoy
My latest set up with:
SN, Qute 2 (streamer/FM/DAB), CD5si, 2x Fraimlite, Project Essential II, Rega Fono MM MKIII, Allae.
Let's have a look at your cabling then, Rob!
Hi Robiwan,
From the image, I guess the Allae is 4 inches from the wall. I had it for years with the diatance 7-8 inches from the wall. About a month plus ago I kept the distance 4 inches from the wall and I found that I get better bass control and no more booming.

And no, it's not my system, but I thought it might be of interest...

the allaes are optimal set up in the room by my dealer and do sound fabulous with no booming or other nasties, just clean/clear music reproduction.

all the cables are connected.
Finally managed to snag the new walnut finished arias. No fuss system, just the way I like it.
Edit: wow, inserting images from imgur on here is a pain!
After only listening to my muso qb for the past 6 months, I'm not so impressed with my Elac 244BE anymore. They sound metallic and overly hi-fi. I'm contemplating an upgrade to ATC SCM19.

The “wall” surely!

Hey Dan. I've actually done exactly this to replace my downward-ported ProAcs.
Of course, give them a listen before you buy, but my guess is you won't be disappointed.
Wow. I've got Eric Dixon standing in my lounge not four feet away playing the tenor sax.
Happy Smiley Face.
I am waiting for the first system picture with a photoshopped ND555 in it....

Dave-mac, what is that Accoustic footer? What is the benefit when you apply this accessories to the speakers?
Cheers, Nasa
Hook posted:Am enjoying my newly restored spinner, a 1958 Thorens TD-124 Mk I with original RMG-212 tonearm.
For now, I am using a Dynavector XX-2 mounted in a modern Ortofon head shell, but they will soon be replaced by an Ortofon SPU Royal GM MkII.
Now that is something very special and very unexpected on a Naim forum, my total respect always goes out to those people who invest into keeping these historic machines going when it would be so much easier to buy an off the shelf model. Well done Huge.

They're isoacoustics gaias. On my system, they tighten the sound up (predominately the bass) whilst at the same time adding extra clarity to the mids and upper ranges. I'm cynical by nature, but these really do make a huge difference, like it could be two different speaker models type of difference.
They also take isolate the sound from vibrating through the floor, which makes myself and my downstairs neighbours happy
Here's a review that might be helpful https://www.stereophile.com/co...eaker-isolation-feet

Also a reminder that newer isn't always better - very nice indeed. I'm still amazed with my restored Revox B77. Also a good topic of conversation with my daughter's friends who can't work out what it is. I just wish my father in law still had his Garrard 301 and 401.

Its not like you can even start your explanation with "you know what a cassette is" these days!
Fairly basic setup currently. Will add dressing up pic to appropriate thread. ????
