Welcome to System Pics 2018.
To start things off, here are a couple of pictures of my setup. There have been some big changes over the past year; a 300 and a 555PS, and some extra shelves to accommodate them.
new chair delivered just in time for the weekend and lots of listening pleasure - LP12, NDX,282.HCDR,300DR, FRAIM, B & W 805N
& relax!

nice chair! nice pic! but the latter is a bit dark.
will adjust and repost -
taken off IPad - little better the blue light is the new Lingo 4 following LP12 upgrade @Cymbiosis last week -
Replaced my £20 Ikea Kallax with a Fraim few pics below
Love the simplicity.

The phono stage must be feeling jealous.
Impressive , Very. Loving where the Deck is.

it made a noticeable instant difference in my system, adding a richness of sound compared to without it, all the usual things you get when adding a Naim power supply. Good ‘bang for the buck’ in my opinion, very happy with it as an upgrade.
I was originally thinking of a different future change, but the recent new streamer announcements pushed me in a different direction, at least for now.
Just need to get another shelf now!
By the way, would I be right in assuming that once I have another shelf, that the stacking order should be (top to bottom): NDX/SN2/HiCap DR/XPS DR?
Confirmation would be gratefully received!
Lovely looking system I too have a Hutter and three Naim boxes 282/300 and I do have an extra shelf between the two parts of the 300 that contains my Israeli PSU. My spacers are also longer than yours which does give the Burndies more room I suppose but looking at your set it does look perfect with the smaller spacers.

Thanks guy's, the phono stage is connected but is on the floor behind the Fraim until i come up with an idea on how best to place it.
I want to keep the 3 shelf fraim and not add to it, there's room at the back of the fraim to place a small wall shelf to house the Heed phono.
HiFi Man,
Very nice set up you have there and I guess the Fraim was worth it.
I just wondered why your speaker stands are back to front, is it just aesthetics?
Only I use the same ones but the other way round.
TK421, didn't realise there is a front or back on the RS303 stands as I have tried them both ways did not notice a difference in sound but prefer the look as they are now.
Fair enough. I was just going by the photos on dealers websites.
Have you experimented with filling any of the columns? Have you found a winning combination?
I'm currently using with the lone column almost full.
Each column has two bags of Custom Designs filler compound making each stand around the 40kg mark ideal of the Proc Tab 10 speaker, I did not try the stands empty.

I like the "close at hand source" concept

40kg per stand? Wow. The Solid Steel Tripods I use are really light. I filled them with approx. 1kg sand per stand as 2kg deadens the music, 1kg sand keeps the music alive and gives a solid soundstage and bass fundament.

hi Chris,
your pic made me laugh because I'm in the same position as you after a second hicap entered my house a couple of days ago and being left with no space on the rack alas!
I tried this and it's working, I think:
Ikea aptitlig chopping board/ fraim ball bearing cup underneath x3

Like it Antonio . I ordered another shelf last week, lead time will be at least a few weeks so I will just make do in the meantime!
Did you post up a pic of your system already? Will be interested to see your ‘workaround’,,,
cheers, Chris
I wouldn't leave it on the carpet, certainly whilst switched on, as the unit wouldn't have space around it to breathe. It could even be a fire risk. I think there is something in the manual regarding this.

Thanks @thebigfredc . Nothing in the manual regarding this and the whole case is the heat sink, so 5 out of the 6 sides are allowing the heat sink, and the underside is not sitting on heavy pile carpet so there is also clearance underneath. I will keep my eye on it until the new shelf arrives though unless anyone is able to point me to specific advice.
Fair enough Chris.

Covered by high volume?
Drdavid posted:S3 posted:Drdavid posted:S3 posted:Drdavid posted:Hi DrDavid, do you mean the oak platforms or the glass?
I was asking about the glass. Reading your post again (more properly!) I see that you refer to fraim glass but where did you get just the glass platform from? Thanks, appreciate the replies (and your system looks beautiful....)
From my local glass merchant. I gave him the exact Naim specs (from the forum) showed him a picture of the fraim and he ordered from his supplier. They are very good quality and the “ding” is there too!
Thanks for that. I shall investigate further at some point; will involve some re-arranging of the various boxes which always fills me with dread as to then being able to wire up properly again!
David (@S3) and I have both swapped notes on the Naim style glass isolation shelves. Mine have been going on the brain side for 9 days now, 5 with a demo 252 and 4 with my 282. I’m quite amazed at how good the 282 now sounds, it having been cold for 5 weeks while I demoed a 552. All the microphonic sounds abound now. The 282 is a different beast to the others but it has star qualities.
I hope to have the kit for the brawn side tomorrow.
Big dilemma about upgrades now [@mention:1566878603873289] and [@mention:12970396060785205]
There is a photo of mine a bit further up. Light was not so good so excuse photo quality.
