Welcome to System Pics 2018.
To start things off, here are a couple of pictures of my setup. There have been some big changes over the past year; a 300 and a 555PS, and some extra shelves to accommodate them.

20 hours on the clock for my new Tab10 signatures bloody hell these sound good probably the best speaker I have heard in any living room. Spirit of Eden first track there's audible footsteps that i have never picked up on before and this is one of my favourite albums!
Sorry to repost my picture
I'm curious - what do these speakers sound like in the bass region?
The Tabs are settling in nicely and improving daily my previous Tabs took a few months to run in so a lot to look forward too. Also my CD SQ404 stands arrive on Tuesday and this should bring a pleasing look and who knows further sound improvements.
Bass on the std and signature Tab 10s is quite remarkable given their size and it's always a talking point when people pop round and ask where is the sub, to me the Tab is the perfect speaker for the UK living room and they give so much and work very well with Naim amps small or large.
New Custom Design SQ404 stands arrived each pillar 1x bag inert filler making the overall stand fairly heavy, I think these were made for the Proac Tab 10 impressive build quality and finish.

Congratulations, the new stands look great and the second photo makes me think of the Guards standing to attention...
Steve when the 250dr kicks in they pay attention
They look fantastic on the custom design stands. Enjoy!
PS. If you have suspended timber floorboards you might benefit from some granite slabs under the stands to isolate the speakers from the floor. Audio Serenity sell nice slabs.
Those stands look really good with the Tabs. That's a nice system.

The floor is block and beam then insulated kingspan with chipboard layer on top. I will Google the audio serenity slabs and do some reading but the system is sounding really good, great synergy and my foot never stops tapping.

Cheers James.

Then time to leave well alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
BTW HiFiman, that is a belter of a system that just oozes balanceI
I like your wallpaper too.
I found marble and concrete slabs under my speakers deadened the bass a bit this was with a suspended wooden floor.
Hifiman, that looks really, really lovely, and so much nicer than having those horrid grey stands. You must be delighted. Now all you need is a 555DR!! I wouldn’t worry about slabs, your floor sounds as though it’s very solid and as the system is working well you should just enjoy it.

In that case you will be fine as your floor wont resonate, no need for slabs.

Thanks HH. The 555dr is next on my wish list and bypass the XPSdr as I didn't think the XPSdr was a big enough lift in performance over my XP5xs.
Overall I'm very pleased with the way things have turned out with the system and these new Proac 10 Signatures are excellent.
Anyway we need more pics on this thread.
I was on the phone to Celef (ProAc) earlier, asking about the possibility of making a single wired version. It’s not possible because the four speaker terminals are soldered directly to the crossovers, with no wires. So that rules out any temptation there. While talking to one of their technical people I discovered that they still make a few of the Celef models to order. The chap I spoke to had been there 30 years and the main man’s daughter answers the phone. What nice people.
They certainly are nice people at Proac. When I was looking for new stands I fancied the stands they display the Tab 10s on their web page.
I contacted them and left a voice message on a Sunday (I know its a Sunday and a holy day so did not expect an answer) but following day a lady (maybe the main mans daughter) contacted me and confirmed my suspicions that the stands are Target. Okay Bryston a Canadian company now supply these but the cost, shipping etc put me off hence the SQ404.

Less confused, of Chesham.
Nothing to do with this "fnarr fnarr" comentary about balls and nobs (I am resisting the urge to recommend my own cleaner of choice - a wire brush and dettol) but you say you're from Chesham? I lived in Chesham in the late eighties - Cameron Road near the Jolly Sportsman. It was a bit of a s***hole then but is considerably more up-market now. Small world, eh?

Yes, the area around the Jolly is a bit down-market. We live in the rather lovely village of Ley Hill, just outside town.

I know Ley Hill - that is a nice area. A few celebs around Chesham - I was at school with Geoffrey Palmer's daughter and my mother taught her Piano, along with John Craven's too. When I left school my first job was working for a small swimming pool company off the Pednor Road and Bruce Dickinson (he of Iron Maiden fame) was a client. Never forget the boss coming back from one visit to get rid of a dead donkey which had escaped the field next door, run across the pool cover, fallen in and got trapped underneath, obviously drowned and had been in all Winter. When the cover was lifted, it was just skin and bones. The chemicals obviously did their job I guess!
This is our analogue source.
Looks digital to me, I can see the fingers.
The day one will resume its 21st century digital ancillary
to their gran grandson and let them know it joyously served him
for a lustre before being discontinued
That will be a so much more funny moment

So you'll be getting another shelf of Fraim then, HH
Thought I'd put my picture up here for comments - the chap who serviced my LP12 was pretty horrified to be honest, but then he was trying to sell me a Fraim... If it would be better off elsewhere please do let me know and I'll repost!
Anyway, some context, we moved into the new house 3 years ago and I had managed to put enough money to one side to buy my ideal setup: LP12, CDX2, Nap 250, Nac 282, Superline phono stage, there's a supercap in there, a hicap (which I think powers the superline, I can't quite remember) and the Lingo for the LP12. The speakers (Focal 1028be) sit either side the bifold doors into the garden and required £600 worth of AC5 cable to be buried under the floor to reach them!
I then designed the unit to house everything, based pretty much on what I had bought (actually there have been some small changes since I first bought everything, the superline is new and that space used to have a Pioneer streaming thing which I ditched for a (hidden) Sonos with the Hugo/ W4S combo you can just make out behind the CD's on the left).
As you will (hopefully) notice, the unit was designed to be aesthetically pleasing, the Veebee painting on glass above the TT is a favourite of my wifes (so gets her buy in), the lego built by my 11 year old etc etc. What I didn't do was any research into how this would sound - I also didn't know anything about needing seperate spurs or suchlike, which is frustrating as the house was ripped to pieces so would've been very easy to do.
So my question is, do I really need to consider a change to the layout? Can I get the best sound out of this setup? I was toying with trying to remove the superline and use a smaller phono stage so I could then fit a second supercap for a Nap300. If I did that, I could at least site both supercaps on the shelf either side of the TT, which would move them away from the amps.
There's lots I would do if I was designing it again, not least make the thing moveable as getting all of the wires sited properly was a nightmare, and I can never remember how everything is connected! But it cost a pretty sum and we do like the way it looks, so I'd be loathed to change it unless it really was a no brainer. It's probably also worth noting it's a big room with an odd shape, so again not an ideal listening space anyway.
I think it sounds great, but I have very little to compare it to in terms of experience.
Do your worst!
