On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.

Till this day I have not got a clue what this cover is all about.
Good old Hipgnosis eh
Listening into this. Not so familiar with this kind of music, a bit like Focus but in a way also completely different...., let’s see...
A good different modern jazz album, worth a try...
Now listening to a fine audiophile album...
The Vulgar Boatmen - You And Your sister
Basically it's Ewemon and myself that like this record. Frankly inexplicable!
Julie london - Her Name Is Julie/ Her Name Is Julie Vol 2, perfect listening, late at night.

Bert,
JT's first 3 albums are very English blues oriented and really worth a listen and Aqualung if a lot more rock(ish) but still a classic album.
Their late 70's albums like Heavy Horses and Songs From The Wood are very folk influenced but all very much carry their trade mark sound. In the 80's there certainly were mishaps like Stormwatch, A and Broadsword which I never enjoyed and lost complete interest I do prefer their earlier bluesy/rock stuff like Benefit, This Was and Stand UP.
Enjoy your discovery.

Thanks for your tips, will review it a bit deeper with Tidal...
What about Thick as a Brick?
Tony, what is your opinion of Steven Wilson’s remix?
Going to an interesting recording with a lot of echo...
Pre-listenening...
1972 - a little jamming session and perfect for late night...

Very nice indeed.
New York City - The Peter Malick Group ft Norah Jones
Downloaded this and listened this evening -- thanks for the tip! I love Norah Jones but didn't have this one.

Tony loves anything by Mr Wilson, tongue firmly in cheek ????

Tabby playing this earlier reminded me that I hadn't listened to it for ages. High energy live hard rock, from the masters of space-rock.
I remember seeing them at the Hammersmith Odeon on that tour. Must get that album...

A peace offering to Kevin, listening to this for the first time in a long while, shouldn't leave it so long, they were on fire on this, great rock. (From the about to turn 55 Eoink.)
The live part of this is probably the greatest live album I have ever heard. Just phenomenal. (From a 56 last month Kevin).

Cheers, Slim. Unfortunately there are not enough expletives on earth to describe what I think of any of mr SW remixes and, if used, I'll probably be banned from this forum forever. Not really worth it!

That is debatable but Happy Birthday, young man, although a little late.
1974 - Vinyl - Uk first pressing...
Nighty nighty all and don't let the SW bug bite you.
CD, 2017. Performing Nordic folk music. Very engaging. Saw the group play a few weeks ago, and they did a folk song as an encore.
Klemperer/Philharmonia: Tchaikovsky Symphony No.6 '61 rec.
Tempo is slower than most but he's exposing the melody line that it has been burrid before in that certainly unique interpretation.
Does not have the nearly the intensity of Mravinsky set but it is just as poignant leaving me a lasting impression. That gong sounds like the shattered hope.
Classy reading as usual but equally effective without cheapening the score.
Added bonus is even my US reissue sounds fabulous.
This morning exploring Jethro Tull a bit more and realized I had a gap in my collection, so just bought some cd’s on amazon and will also get the high resolution remaster on Qobuz...
