On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Norah Jones - Come Away with Me - CD
Melody Gardot - My One and Only Thrill - CD
Wonderful performances from both these talented ladies.
I’m hunting for music to go with my pilgrimage movie. Best so far is Cara Dillon Wanderer track10 (Dubhdara). Thoughts on subject of travel on foot and sea welcome.

Great selection Phil. My favourite track on the Wanderer album is 'The Leaving Song' - it gets to me every time I hear it.
What about Mark Knopfler's Privateering for the pilgrimage movie, a few tracks about travel and a couple of sea shanty type choons, particularly the title track. Privateering is a somewhat underrated MK album IMHO.
BTW, the 552 definitely brings backing instruments (and vocals) to light but keeps the right balance beautifully. More of that on the other thread when I finally summarise.
Beverley Craven, Judie Tzuke and Julia Fordham - Woman to Woman
A very pleasant new album. A few new tracks, a few old. Particularly interesting are the songs traded between Beverley and Julia. Julia sings Promise Me and Beverley takes Where Does the Time Go?. But the most outstanding song on the album is, of course, the re-recording of Judie's For You, with Julia and Beverley singing some of the multi-tracked harmonies. It always was a beautiful song, but it's nice to have this new version too.
This album is a rip off the BBC Transcription recording from the first night at Hammersmith. The actual live album is taken for the 2nd evening.
A classic album of the era.
Gary Moore - Blues Alive, the sustain on "Parisienne Walkways" is memorable.
Queen - A Day at the Races

I concur and streaming it on Tidal now.

Nigel, Thanks. I will play Privateering via YouTube.
Perhaps this is difference between the 282, 252 and 552. For me the 252 is better than the 282 for lots of my music, but the 282 could with quiet mains sound more exciting. The 552 demo will be interesting in the new year. Supposedly Naim have loaned their 552s to customers who are waiting for theirs to be built. Strange that the Aura put the excitement in to the vinyl with the 252.

Kingdom of Gold
Go, Love
Yon Two Crows
Bluebird
so far in the movie context. The first because of Burgos, Leon and the other Spanish Cathedrals, the Via Aquitania from Astorga used to transport the gold to Bordeaux, and because I just do.

This is the 4-disc “Complete Bitches Brew” released in ’98. I don’t always enjoy releases with “previously unreleased tracks”, “alternate takes”, etc., however, this one has a lot of great extra music. Listening now to the 20-minute version of David Crosby’s “Guinnevere”…fantastic!
