What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
A superb album.
Mark Knopfler - The Ragpicker's Dream
Victory - The Broken Instrument
I have stopped evaluating the 552 and am just enjoying the music.
Good for the music-lover, bad for the bank balance!

A very pleasant new album. A few new tracks, a few old. Particularly interesting are the songs traded between Beverley and Julia. Julia sings Promise Me and Beverley takes Where Does the Time Go?. But the most outstanding song on the album is, of course, the re-recording of Judie's For You, with Julia and Beverley singing some of the multi-tracked harmonies. It always was a beautiful song, but it's nice to have this new version too.
Clive, saw your post played this on Tidal a lovely album indeed will have to look out for the CD.
Thanks

The Three Tenors: 20th Anniversary Edition - CD Rip
One of the best live concerts of all time, absolutely stunning.

A brilliant piano trio album, it doesn’t get much better than this....
Had this on vinyl in the day but not one I listened to frequently. Hard to believe Girl’s School was originally a double A side with MOK.

Sandy Denny- The Original Sandy Denny, 1992 reissue vinyl
Early Sandy recordings, mainly of trad and 1960s American folk songs. Her voice is as stunning as it ever was, she interprets them superbly, and we hear them without lush productions, so the beauty shines through. But I’d rather hear her sing her own wonderful compositions, much as I love this album. I listened to a friend’s copy throughout university in the early ‘80s, so was delighted to get this reissue when it came out.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - Raising Sand, reissue vinyl
Followed Sandy with her mate Percy, his lovely album with Alison Krauss. They sound so great together on stunning music choices.
Sinéad O’Connor - Am I Not Your Girl, Original U.K. vinyl
picked out of the rack while looking for something else, I haven't played this for at least 20 years I think. And sadly I can see why, Sinéad sings jazz standards, and for me it doesn’t work, she could have done a great job singing them with the edge she brings to her best albums, but these are quite bland and do nothing for me. Only played the first side.
Tidal. Tanita Tikaram - Sentimental
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run, 1970s vinyl
One of the great rock albums, Springsteen hymns small-town America and the end of the American Dream, with epic songs, great production and a seriously hot band.
Tanita Tikaram - Ancient Heart - vinyl
Reminded by Erich’s post to play this one, which I really like.
Phil
Blackmore's Knight: Dancer and the Moon (2012, vinyl(: Great version of Temple of the King, quite different from the 1975 version on Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow.
Peter Gabriel: Passion (Music for the Last Temptation of Christ) : a go-to album for testing system balance and musicality. Stunningly well recorded world music seamlessly interwoven. Especially sans Torlyte.
Tidal. Juanita Stein - Until The Lights Fade
lightweight and pleasant, hard to fathom that its release has garnered 148 pages on the Hoffman forum.

I know what you mean, I have that too.
I don't think she ever surpassed The Lion and the Cobra which had some really gritty angst driven tunes.
Doubt we'll see anything like that again now she's converted to Islam.
Picked this up for $1 at a Goodwill store...

It's not an album I play frequently, but when I do I always find it rather enjoyable. It's exceptional SQ too.
Queen - Innuendo
Probably their second best album, second only to A Night at the Opera, of course.
