On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Earlier... Vinyl released 1963
Now... Vinyl released 2011
Two fine albums to kick Sunday off. ????
Bill Evans - Complete Village Vanguard 1961
The point where the tape stops in the first run through Gloria's Step makes me jump every time. Truly sublime music making though.
Peter Gabriel
New Blood - CD Rip
Edward
Ripped Vinyl
Listening to this on my brand new QB in the study while doing some tedious paperwork
Memory lane !
Vinyl released 1989 - 18 years on from his solo release, If I Could Only Remember My Name and a fine album. ????
Started the morning with some Elgar...
A nice audiophile album...
Original (2005) UK pressing. Along with The Dreaming and Hounds of Love, her greatest work, I think.
Ivo Janssen - Bach: Fantasies, Capriccios & Variations

Bert, I’ve noticed this is a description you frequently use. What is your definition of an audiophile album? To me it suggests an album designed to demonstrate the capability of hifi equipment rather than musical excellence - is this what you intend to convey?
Alabama 3 - Exile on Coldharbour Lane. CD rip.
Woke Up This Morning popped up on my running (gasp, wheeze) playlist earlier and reminded me that I’d not played their debut album for quite some time. A cracking fusion of styles and influences.

Yeti, you might be interested to know that they're on a UK tour from Friday (30th November) and that the backing singers will be none other than Ese and Sheena from the Vooduu People. Rob (Larry Love) also wants Ese as a featured artist, so the band will also be playing a few of her songs.
Martha Argerich - Live from the Concertgebouw
A dose of Ry Cooder for this Sunday morning. Reproduction quality on this CD is lovely.
After some languid Ry Cooder I've upped the pace with some Seal.

I wouldn’t have the album if I wouldn’t like it musically. But with this I mean a very transparent album, very well recorded, so you hear everything.
A nice funky album...
Dexter Gordon & Slide Hampton - Day in Copenhagen
- Trombone – Slide Hampton
- Contrabass – Niels-Henning Orsted-Pedersen*
- Drums – Art Taylor
- Piano – Kenny Drew
- Tenor Saxophone – Dexter Gordon
- Trumpet – Dizzy Reece

Thanks Kevin.
I would imagine A3 to be very good live and also the added benefit seeing Ese perform also would be a tempting prospect. But, alas, its very hard for me to get any time to get to concerts these days due to family commitments. I just about manage the odd cinema visit, but even those are few and far between!
Ploughing through the three CDs of outtakes on this. I have to say that I wasn't wowed by the outtakes etc on last year's Pepper deluxe set, but these White Album offcuts are something else. Absolutely gripping listening. I suspect I'll be revisiting much of this material many times in the future.

Yeti - Alabama 3 are indeed a brilliant live band - in fact I prefer seeing them in concert to listening to their records, enjoyable as they are.
