And you won’t.
Time for one album before this evening's Champions League games and I've been meaning to play Animals again for some time. One of my favourite Floyd albums.
The Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Inner Mounting Flame
Their first album and unbeaten in my view, although some prefer the follow up, Birds of Fire. The SQ is better on the first album though.
My final pilgrimage movie selection. They fit very well with the photos and progress. Classics. Do they bring back memories? Phil
- Dubhdara - Cara Dillon - Wanderer
- Up Where We Belong - Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes
- Lovely Day - Bill Withers
- I Am Blessed - Eternal
- I Can See Clearly Now - Johnny Nash
- Refuge of The Road - Joni Mitchell - Hejira
- Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel- Hits
- Don’t Give Up - Peter Gabriel - Hits
- Four Seasons In One Day - The Very Best of Crowded House
2011 - Another random selection tonight from CDs stored on the NAS. Great version of Stormbringer by Beck.
Jellyfish - Bellybutton, a bit of powerpop from their debut in '90
Now playing..............
Florian Weber - Lucent Waters
Florian Weber (piano), Ralph Alessi (trumpet), Linda May Han Oh (double bass) and Nasheet Waits (drums).
Streaming on TIDAL.......... recent release from ECM and first time taking the album for a spin............ opening couple of tracks are very nice and look forward to the rest of the album!

Nice Choice Mike.
Agree with you and Kevin on Animals.Dave Gilmours guitar break on Dogs is sublime one of my favourite Floyd moments.....will be watching The Champions in action with Lyon shortly.I know they will motivated to finish top of the group.Sane and Stirling at West Ham where a right handful. What I love about City this season is the midfield where not reliant on Aguero.
Cheers Ian
Throwing Snow - Mosaic
New to me - discovered him in this months Mojo because he has a new record out the end of this week. Rhythmic acoustic / electronic. Lots of dynamics and sounds great through Naim gear. Streaming from Qobuz - I have been playing most of his on there.

Pretzel Logic
Some cool and funky Dan to try and forget the heavy rain tipping down and forecast for the next 36/48 hours.
On tour as of Feb in the UK with Steve Winwood as the support act.
Cheers Ewen, do you know who is filling the Walter Becker gap?
The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds if Fire
Their second album, which is brilliant BTW, but not as über-brilliant as the first. IMHO, of course.
John Denver
Poems Prayers & Promises - Tidal HiFi
Edward
Stephen Stills
Very fond of this rare recording. Great voice with fine backup.
2002 : one from the vaults of the NAS...
The Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Lost Trident Sessions
What should have been the band’s third album if it hadn’t been lost, of course. This is the studio version of what was released as the third album, the live album, Between Nothingness and Eternity. Another fusion tour de force, but a bit harder than the first two in my opinion.
Now playing.........
Kate Bush - 50 Words For Snow
Streaming on TIDAL......... Taking Kate's 2011's 50 Words For Snow out for a spin...... Winter is in the air recently, with colder temps along with rain and snow in the mountain passes. Kate is warming up the room however and is sounding mighty sweet!
Queen - The Works.
R.E.M. - Life's Rich Pageant. Great LP.
I've had this album in my library for a few years now as a download from the B&W Society of Sound. I remember finding it a bit strange at the time so it was consigned to the play it again one day pile...
Tastes change and I've recently given it a few plays and it's got me interested in hearing more. i've ordered 'The Bairns' to get me started.
The Unthanks - A Retrospective
Chris Rea - Dancing Down the Stony Road, a double album of the blues.
