On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Wolfgang Voigt. GAS. Nah Und Fern.
4x boxset from 2008.
Voigt cites his youthful LSD experiences in the Konigsforst forest near his hometown of cologne as inspiration for this album.

Johnnie Walker's interview of Brian May on Sounds of the 70s on BBC Radio 2 FM.
New territory for me, courtesy of our friend Max, first spin:

Jimmy Page - Playin’ Up A Storm - WAV CD rip
CD picked up today in the great record shop at Hebden Bridge, played on the kitchen Qb while sorting dinner and lunches for the week. Interesting early Page, when still a session player in the ‘60s, mainly rock and roll covers. Sid at the record shop told me that the singer was a rich kid who could afford top hired gun session men to play on albums with him to help him become a star. Competent enough vocals, some classic R&R and the odd blues numbers, the fun is hearing a young Albert Lee with a young Page, and probably JP’s first album with JPJ. Fine playing as you’d expect from Lee, Page and Jones, well worth £7.
Ese and the Vooduu People, the singles album, 24/192 download
(I tagged both their singles with Singles as the album name.) I downloaded Silver Spoon during the week, 1st chance to listen properly, they are a tight band, Ese has a fantastic soul/blues/rock voice another fine song, I think their best outing yet. If the luck goes their way, they could he huge. Cheers Kev.

Now that’s a cover that’d be hard to miss on the Nova.
1994 - MOFI (2011) reissue on 2x 180g double vinyl...
Superlative recording and mastering!
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bayou Country - UK 1st press vinyl
Picked up today, a great rock album. John Fogerty’s voice is perfect for these swamp-rock tracks, his guitar playing was as good as it gets on this album, and the songs are great. Proud Mary saw the volume knob head towards 12 o’clock.
Haven't listened to any Sigur Rós in ages. On CD, this is Takk.
John Coltrane - Blue trane

Thanks Eoin. I will pass that on.
