What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
More from the Steve Miller catalogue with Born 2B Blue , an album of mostly jazz standards.
This is lovely...
A bit of nostalgia...listening to Theme from Shaft, Isaac Hayes for the first time on the ND555. Just in the right mood for this, sounding just wonderful.
Will Hoge - My American Dream, Vinyl.
Brilliant country rock, fantastic impassioned songs, good hard driving rock backing, sung with power. My 1st Will Hoge album bought a few weeks ago, thanks Ewemon, several more have arrived already.
From B&W Society of Sound, strong rhythm, interesting...
Only 2usd on Bandcamp like most of the music of this label, high quality jazz...
What an arena band...
February 1998
Early Jon Hassell album co produced by Daniel Lanois, heady late night stuff
Vinyl released 1980 - A fine debut album. ????
George Michael - Faith.

Keith Don’t Go has to be one of the finest system test tracks, if it doesn’t sound epic there’s something radically wrong!

Steven Wilson. Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Relaxing, perhaps so, but are you aware of the subject matter that inspired this? Apologiesi f so, but I was quite surprised when I saw it.

Yes, a pretty sad back story there. Not too far apart from similar prog albums like Marillion's Brave.
I've not listened to Brave in ages, and only vaguely remember the background story - time to re-visit.
Fascinated to hear the original vinyl has double grooves on the final track to give two different endings. I may have this somewhere unplayed.
This Mortal Coil - Filigree and Shadow - HD remaster now available (though trying the CD stream on Qobuz). Not listened to this for a while (on vinyl).
...and sadly yet another where the lack of Chromecast gapless on the new Uniti streamers spoils it.
This will need a few listens before I can conclude it's a match for the original versions:
Qobuz CD stream. Vinyl out in February.
Bobo Stenson Trio: War Orphans
Lovely end of day music.
Yesterday i started re tagging some of my Digital Downloads and was going through some of my Manfred Mann Stuff
All i can say is give them a listen from the early stuff to the Earth Band Era its all good even the cheesy stuff

Pity he has so many released on his own label that are not available as I missed out on a couple of the very early ones and prices are stupid.
