I've already got this on original vinyl, but decided to take the plunge on this 3 CD (and 1 DVD) box set of The Queen is Dead by The Smiths. Contains demos and additional tracks and a live CD from Boston. It sounds great - so good to revisit this classic album.
Eric Clapton
Happy Xmas - 24/96

Just purchased today and listening to the remastered main albums
Victory - The Broken Instrument
I just love this gal. So original and impossible to assign a genre, and that is part of its attraction.
Fresh, great songs, talented, engrossing, entertaining.

Mantras For Madmen
And there was me walking the puppy wondering what to play when we got back home, spotted Nigel's posting and was sorted with the fine Harry Manx and his wonderful, beautifully played mohan veena.
Did you pick up this one my friend? His latest album.
Released 2007 - Foster has a powerful voice, which infuses secular music with the power and emotions of gospel Ruthie Foster sounds a bit like a young Aretha Franklin (although not copying her) and gives one the impression that she could sing in any idiom that interested her. The Phenomenal Ruthie Foster is a strong example of her musical talents. Great album ????
CD rip - A new one for me - good !
