On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

It's Friday evening, it's been a while and I fancy some Genesis. This was their first after Peter Gabriel had departed and is one of the fine series of Definitive Edition remasters
Still my favourite Genesis album. I think you've just prompted me to dig it out, Steve.
very much agree...a great selection of tracks that hang together just that bit better than their other great albums. Everyone will have their favourites out of their (earlier) albums but based on memories as well this does it for me.

Lyle Lovett - Joshua Judges Ruth
Streaming on NAS....... Love Lyle's music, also great to see in concert (although it has been quite a while since I have seen him perform in person), just love the 'Joshua Judges Ruth' album!
Thanks for recommending this one Seakayaker.
I have always been a LL fan but stopped buying his stuff when I couldn't find anything to match my favourite LL albums (e.g. I Love Everybody). But this one is right up there, but not for those prone to depression maybe! I admire the man's wit, humour and songwriting talent.
I have just picked this up for pennies on the big river. Who says this hobby has to be expensive.
Among my favourite Miles’ albums, sounding exquisite this evening.

Paul Carrack - Soul Shadows
Dusty Springfield - Dusty in Memphis. with 8 bonus mono mixes
kd lang - Hymns of the 49th Parallel
picked at random a fine selection of quality vocalists

Had this since its release. The cd never sounded as good as the vinyl original, but great tunes.

I agree that the definitive edition remasters are indeed definitive as far as digital versions go, but I so wish I had a vinyl version of this album. I heard the vinyl at Cymbiosis and it really does have much more presence.
Sublime.

Not a blues album but was playing some trax from this earlier today.
1966 - US (mono ) pressing...
The last album before being another year older.

John Mellencamp - Freedom's Road
Streaming on TIDAL....... Friday afternoon after a long walk, sitting down and taking a listen to John's Freedom's Road. Sounding fantastic, as usual......
Very highly recommended. Ex Muddy Waters Band guitarist
Another colourfully-splattered vinyl artefact from the Ten Year War box. Again, it sounds great and the attention to detail in presentation is first-rate. Again the music is remarkable, but it's the lesser-known tracks like "Hand of Doom", "Electric Funeral" and "Planet Caravan" that really shine for me; rather than the blockbusters such as the title track, "Iron Man" and "War Pigs".

Happy Birthday!
Hope you have many, many more and you enjoy health & happiness throughout the upcoming year!
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti.
Playing the Jimmy Page re-master ................ though I'm still not sure I don't prefer the Japanese SHM CD version.

This was the first LP I bought back in 1981. I had just started High school and my newly found mates were all head bangers!
We lived with my grandparents at the time and I used to play it on their system. They never complained, I guess they were head bangers too.
