On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Have you tried them Naked Mike?
Eg and Alice - 24 Years of Hunger
I've just looked at the the label, it says 1991. Then they seemed to disappear. But they seem better than that to me. Probably making jingles for Capital Radio now. Or running a guest house in Mid-Wales
(1985)
Soul To Soul
Why? Well, why not? Any excuse to play SRV with or without Double Trouble is all good by me.
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit - Live from the Ryman. Excellent live performances from his outstanding recent albums.
Steve Hillage - Open
Continuing the Hillage love. In the mean time I've been listening to the 1976 BBC album, which is another excellent live recording of 1970s Hillage. Notwithstanding For to Next / And Not Or, this album, Open, was for me the last before he started leaning towards System 7's ambient music, which doesn't really work for me.

I have this on vinyl but not sure why. If anyone wants it, drop me a PM with your address and I'll send it on FOC.

Gosh, Clive. You must be quite a fan of Steve Hillage. I didn't know he had produced so many albums. I've only got Motivation Radio.

It's been a while and the mood is upon me for their first bluesy one...

I like this copy and got it from (I think) Qobuz a few years ago.

Spectral Morning
It's good to dig out some Steve Hackett now and again, this is one of his better and better known solo albums released a couple of years after he had split from Genesis.
Steve,
Nice Hackett choice.BTW did you know that Steve is touring next November I think. He's doing Selling England By The Pound in it's entirety and tracks from Spectral Mornings as it will be 40 years old.
I saw Steve on the Spectral Mornings tour in 1979 at Brighton Dome and he came on with Land of A Thousand Autumns with this green spotlight behind him projecting green rays out into the auditorium. After this build up he went into Please Don't touch. My mates and I had front row balcony seats and the P.A sound was stunning.Great gig.
Cheers Ian

Never a bad time to play that classic, Steve. I wonder if Theresa May is a fan of 'Dazed and Confused' ?
Playing on Compact Disc - Delicate and ethereal magic from Mazzy Star and Hope Sandoval from 1996.
Makes me smile [sorry!]
We’ve just booked tickets to see the quartet play the music from this record at the Turner Sims in March, so it seems appropriate to give it a spin.
Kitsch central, but China Forbes’ voice is something else- Sunday Table my favourite

Thanks for letting me know about the November tour I wasn't aware of it. That 1979 gig in Brighton by your description must have been a great gig. Unfortunately for me I was "doing "Libya in the late seventies and missed a lot of great stuff going on back home.

I've just counted. It seems I have 25 Steve Hillage albums, about half a dozen of which I have more than copy.
This album demonstrates why PRAT is so fundamental to reproduced music

There are quite a few titles on that album which would be appropriate in number 10 just now, e.g. Good Times Bad Times, You Shook Me, How Many More Times, Communication Breakdown and others. Maybe she'll end up on a Black Mountain Side.
