On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Time for some Rolling Stones...
An older one from the Stones....

Hi, Ewen,
It's there on yon Tidal thingy, so I'll have a listen later this evening ................. sadly, no sign of Ryan McGarvey over there yet, other than the "Letter to Santa" single ................. Harrumph!
Cheers.
Into the middle of their career, and the Zep's most eclectic LP, proving that Jimmy, Jonesy, Bonzo and Robert had more ideas on one album than most bands could muster up in their entire careers. "TSRTS", "No Quarter" and "Over The Hills" are particular highlights on this Japanese SHM-CD:
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti on Japanese SHM - CD.
Can I play too? .............................. LOUD, yes?

Eagles
Hotel California - 24/192

Elvis Costello & The Imposters - Look Now. This is a cracking album and a real return to form. If you liked his album with Burt Bacharach (I think it was called Painted From Memory) or maybe Imperial Bedroom, then this will not disappoint you. Burt Bacharach features on a couple of tracks and one song is co-written with Carole King.
This is so different from the original, almost like a new album.

Good one, Steve, I really like this later album by the Ozrics.
Spinning CD 3 from this box set - The Smiths live in Boston in 1986. Sounds good.
Nancy's name is on the cover, but really, it's Lee (RIP) who did thew heavy lifting.
Vinyl released 1986 - Great album from a fine Liverpool indie band who should but unfortunately never lasted the course. ????
Don Henley
The End Of The Innocence - 24/96

Black Thought streams of thought vol 2. As recommended on Rometh Ranganathan's hip hop podcast. Good stuff.

It's been a while and the mood is upon me for their first bluesy one...
Never a bad time to play that classic, Steve. I wonder if Theresa May is a fan of 'Dazed and Confused' ?
There are quite a few titles on that album which would be appropriate in number 10 just now, e.g. Good Times Bad Times, You Shook Me, How Many More Times, Communication Breakdown and others. Maybe she'll end up on a Black Mountain Side.
Brainless moron? Self serving ****wit? Enemy of the people?
I'll have to check my LZ1 album again. I'm struggling to remember those tracks
Van Morrison - Back On Top, a very solid album, with beautiful orchestration.
