On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
The Band - The Last Waltz CD 3,- WAV CD rip
A strong contender for my favourite live album of all time, the Band’s farewell gig had them and some of the greatest musicians of the era singing great songs. This is the disc where his Bobness joins them to finish the gig, the Band are playing with real fire, Dylan sings with passion, and they finish the gig with a rousing I Shall Be Releaaed with everyone on stage.
Havent listened to this in a while, a big favourite, Mark-Almond Group Nightmusic, super smooth late night sounds, streaming on tidal
Dire Straights - On Every Street - CD
Have’t played this since all the setup tweaks. Mr laidback Mark Knoffer and his band are sounding amazingly good. Just love that twangy guitar.

Yep! Those were the days when you used to make a "phone call" and gather a few friends for a gig. Damn good farewell gig it was too !
Field of Gold: The Best of Sting: original vinyl 1994
Specifically Field of Gold and An Englishman in New York: timeless eccentricity and harmony with that unmistakable voice.
Vivaldi: L'Amoroso: Archiv 1987 English Concert and Trevor Pinnock vinyl
Classic Pinnock: measured, brilliant, clear, precise and articulate rendition of 18th century concerti on original instruments.
Baroque suiteness (!)

Mine has a parental guidance label on the case. Well it’s a very good work out for you and your system.

Suspect it's for 'I Love New York' where there's a 'U can F off' type lyric which my daughter was gobsmacked by the other day.
Utterly brilliant album though, one of a handful that really worked well on headphones trying to stimulate boring exercise routines on machines at the gym.

Their best album, in my view, Ian.
Totally agree.
An official album.
If one MUST listen to some Christmas music, this is one of the better ways to go...

Everyone's out except me!
This band and their tunes are great. I have turned the volume to 11.
Today is going to be a good day.

Yes I agree, Mercky. Good SQ and pleasant to have playing in the background...
First some Ivan Fischer this morning..
Followed by one out of his acclaimed Mahler series...
No at this interesting trio moving from traditional trio jazz to funky...
