On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Now Playing.....
John Cougar Mellencamp - The Lonely Jubilee
Streaming on NAS........ The hook was set yesterday when I listened to John's "Freedom Road" album and wanted to follow up with another of his albums. He is sounding mighty fine this Saturday afternoon.
The Black Keys - El Camino.
Following an evening of mellow blues, time to turn the wick up a bit .............. erm, ..............LOUD!
Nighty night.
Steely Dan - Aja, new Back to Black vinyl pressing.
Musically, impeccable, I don’t really like soft funky jazz in general, but the Dan were so much better than that great tunes and lyrics, brilliantly played and sung. 1st play of a vinyl edition that arrived recently, very impressed by the SQ.
Steely Dan, Live 1996,from a 3 CD set Tribute to Walker Becker. WAV CD rip.
Slightly processed sound quality, but still very enjoyable, and it’s the Dan, great songs, great band, 1st listen to this set, if the other 2 discs are as good at this, I’ll be very happy.
2010 - US Pressing...
Finally managed to get hold of an original vinyl copy. Worth every penny. SQ is outstanding.
Now Playing..............
Calexico - Feast of Wire
Streaming on TIDAL....... Going with the mention from NAIM_NYMPH and a few others over the past few days and taking Calexico out for a spin, the first spin......and the first track is sounding just fine.

Tori Amos - Boys For Pele
Streaming on NAS....... One more Tori...... She is sounding mighty fine!
LE, UTP and BFP are all wonderful records. I've been a fan for many years.
Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943): Vladimir Ovchinnikov (piano)
Études-tableaux, Op. 33 & Op. 39
Neil Young. Eponymous solo debut (1968). On early re-issued vinyl from 1970. A fantastic album that commands attention for it's gritty artistry.
Neil Young with Crazy Horse. Everybody Knows This is Nowhere (1969). On early vinyl. Notable for "Down by the River," and "Cowgirl in the Sand" with their extended improvisations that would become a Crazy Horse trademark. Neil's heavy jangling one note guitar solo on "Cinnamon Girl" also a highlight and in retrospect a precursor of the 'Godfather of Grunge' sound.
All these blues cds prompted me to get this one out:
Otha Turner: Senegal to Saratoga.

Useless bit of info for you. Otha used to close all his shows with the old Gospel tune Glory Glory.
Excellent album of Fife and Drum blues

Is that the original version that came out or the latest remixed version that is part of his archives series?

My favourite Mellecamp set and the first of his albums I bought.

Something lovely for a sunny Sunday morning.
