On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Fancied this one and staying Focused.
As promised to myself when I saw Tony2011's post when he played it earlier today. My favourite KC album.
Simply Red - Stars on s/h vinyl.
Why? Kicking back with a beer after a busy day and some Red Mick is doing the trick.

Classic Fela on vinyl, first released in 1977. This is from the Vol 4 box set (curated by Erykah Badu)
Tony2011 posted:2015 - CD Box set - CD#5(rip)...
This brilliant album after seeing the above post - Happy New Year Tony.
HARVEY MANDEL Cristo Redentor (1968 UK first issue 10-track vinyl.
Black Sabbath - The End
Played at floor-shaking volume from the 24/96 download. It's fecking tremendous - obviously stadium-live, with the crowd very much there - the bass, drums and Tommy's guitar are overwhelmingly just right. Ozzy's not what he was but fits the bill. The set-list is almost perfect.
I'd seen them five days previously and they were just as wonderful.
This is a really good album

After a spicy soup to recouperate everything lost on a freezing three mile walk in the snow:
Daryl Hall & John Oates - Rock'n'Soul Part 1. More used black stuff.
Why? Still relaxin'

Roky Erickson & The Aliens - The Evil One
The extended CD reissue of his classic paean to 50s B-movies (or just a peek into his acid-fried mind).
All killer, no filler rock.
His best solo album IMV. And excellent reproduction quality, too. Holographic imaging at times.
Now Playing.....
Eva Cassidy - American Tune

They don't any better than LZII. I wore out my original vinyl copy.
A great blues rock album by any standards, and given how young they were incredible. Rodgers and Kossoff on stellar form. Excuse me, I just need to air guitar the start of ARN.
Now Playing......
Glen Frey - Strange Weather
Streaming on NAS....... Picking an album that has not been played in awhile, Glenn is sounding mighty fine!
1975 - UK first pressing...
Orginal 1986 vinyl. Paul,Brady in a very 1980s production, I love this album, the songs shine through, some impressive guests, Clapton, Larry Mullen Jr., and it has The Island and Homes of Donegal on it, very different songs, but both brilliant.
Richard Dane posted:Kevin, I gave the Kamakiriad reissue from the Cheap Xmas box set another spin last night and thought the pressing and sound were top notch. Most notable though was that even though the cut was not as "loud" as some, any vinyl noise was non-existent. I don't have an original with which to compare, but on this evidence it seems hard to believe it could do better. Very impressed.
It is quite quiet Richard, but as you say, it has great sound. Will give the original a spin one of these days...
