On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

I heard today that a version of Friends will be released for record store day this year. I doubt there'll be any left by the time I get there, but I thought I'd play this vinyl to remind myself of the song. Currently enjoying the excellent (plagiarised) Gallows Pole.
Don't be caught out on the RSD marketing ploy spinning frenzy, Clive. It is really not worth it. It is just recycling old stuff for the gullible.

Well I guess JPP needs the money.
Before a nice album...
As mentioned before - triggered to enjoy it again...

I just did a Google search on Robbie Williams Jimmy Page to find all the gossip in the Daily Mail on line. I can understand Page's concerns for his Grade 1 listed property, but if he's irritated by the noise why doesn't he just move to one of his other mansions? That said, I can imagine Robbie Williams might be a 'difficult' neighbour.

That was a rhetorical reply, Clive. I could not care a less about either personal problems.
Enjoy the music!
Just finished Eric Clapton - Live in San Diego with Special Guest JJ Cale.A welcome addition to the live Clapton discography for me as I was lucky enough to see the same band in 2005 at the Royal Albert Hall.Due to the fact that Derek Trucks was in the ranks the setlist was "Layla" heavy with Clapton performing several songs for the first time with Trucks doing his best Duane.

1971 - Vinyl - UK first pressing...
Soft Cell, The Twelve Inch Singles.
As a youngster I rarely bought 7” singles as I preferred the 12” version, this brings back some great memories. I especially like Tainted Dub.
Long time ago, but still like new.

Fancy that, just played a BB King album this afternoon and who should be one of the backing guitarists but none other than Mr Dave "Clem" Clempson
A+ 24/192 Bach Reimagines Bach - William Carter
DL from Linn Records who did an excellent job producing this album. I recommend it.

Joan Baez - Whistle Down The Wind
Streaming on TIDAL....... A new release (03/02/2018) from Joan caught my eye and thought I would take it out for a spin. It is nice to see another silver hair individual from my generation still holding down a job contributing to the benefit of society like myself.
(except I can't sing)
Seakayakers, How does her voice sound now compared with the early days?
Phil
Phil, Try by yourself streaming Tidal, Qobuz, HDTracks samples or youtube. I bought it HR from Qobuz at $8+.
SK, thank you for posting.
Black Sabbath-Sabotage
Now Playing........
Anouar Brahem - Thimar
Streaming on NAS.......... Enjoying the evening hours with Anourar, very nice......simply beautiful!

Phil
Phil, I would say that her voice has matured. It is still strong and pleasant but not the same as a young Joan Baez. To be honest I didn't expect her voice to sound as good as it did, she has aged well, probably much better than I have. ....... and for sure she has a much better singing voice then I do!
Now Playing.......
Anouar Brahem - Le Pas Du Chat Noir
Streaming on NAS........ Continuing on with a peaceful & beautiful evening with Anouar's music......
Now Playing..........
Anouar Brasem - Le Voyage de Sahar
Streaming on NAS......... Ending the evening with this album and will most likely fall off to sleep with it playing........ Life is grand!

Boo Boo Davis - The Snake
Streaming on TIDAL........ A mention from EWEMON earlier had me place this in the TIDAL queue and now taking it out for a spin. First couple of tracks are sweet, very nice rhythm an blues!
His first couple are even better.
During workout. Have fond memories of this one loud in my car - years ago. Especially the first couple of songs are good...
Blues trumpeter. Not his best album.
