On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Waters' best solo album in my view. Terrific reproduction quality and sound-staging. One of those albums that just have to be listened to from beginning to end in one session.
I don't know about you Mike but I'm one of those that want to listen to all my albums from beginning to end.
I am, too, Steve, but have been known to cut some short. Although I suspect you could guess lots of the albums that I never cut short
Kandace Springs - Soul Eyes
Listening to this, a favourite of mine, I am reminded what a talent this young lady is.
I always thank Tony at this point who first brought this album to this place.

Sunny War - With The Sun
Streaming on TIDAL....... Going with a mention from EWEMON that he made yesterday. A new release from 02/02/18 and the first track has a beautiful voice, with backing vocals and a sweet acoustic guitar. Sounding very nice......
Ooohhhh......this is good. I am only a couple of tracks in and I know this is right up my street.
Nice one, Ewemon and Seakayaker. Cheers from chez NigelB.

Great album that I'm still playing and enjoying regularly. So my thanks are due to Tony, too.
So far this evening
Joe Cocker - Organic
Del Amitri - Waking Hours
Delaney & Bonnie & Friends - On Tour with Eric Clapton
and presently playing Paul Simon - Surprise really love the track Father and Daughter.

Del Amitri....great band
Peter Oren - Anthropocene. He has a remarkable voice and some of the tracks remind me a little of Lambchop.
LP - Ruf Records GmbH 2018 : )
A nice slab of bluesy vinyl doing a darn good groovy thing on the Sondek
Debs
I thought it was about time I had another dose of this classic. A gentle swaying in time to the beat is almost impossible to resist

Having a listen as I see some people have already bought the vinyl. Must admit that apart from Hear My Train A Comin’ not much to excite me here. Maybe a few more listens will help but I doubt.
I haven't heard 'Both Sides' yet. The Hendrix estate certainly has been rehassing/reissuing all things Jimi the past decade or so. Several have been disappointments to me. The best I've come across is "People, Hell and Angels" on vinyl from 2013. It's a bit bass-boosted, but the SQ is otherwise very good. Overall hard driving, dynamic and energetic tracks. Highly recommended.
Van Halen II (1979). On remastered HDCD from 2000. I'm a fan of VH's earlier stuff through '1984' (can't really imbibe Sammy) and this might be their best among those albums.
