On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
On CD:-
Joan As Police Woman - Damned Devotion
Citizen Cope-One Lovely Day
Rebelution-Piece of Mind
A+ 24/96 Beethoven: Piano Sonatas (Hammerklavier & Moonlight) - Murray Perahia
I also listened to the same sonatas played by Paul Lewis, Emil Gilels and Claudio Arrau (from the box set recently published). Unfortunately Arrau could't record these two sonatas in his last series of recordings, so I listened to a former one. From the four mentioned I have a strong bias in favour of Gilels. I also have other series. Any comments/recommendations?
The Black Crowes-Amorica
El Corazon was the final set of last night and felt the itch for more Steve this morning.
Colin Curtis presents Jazz Dance Fusion. Compilation of lively tracks from the Muse label. From Boomkat.

Classic Album to get Tuesday afternoon in the office going - Playing on Compact Disc
I don't play this very often but always enjoy it when I do.
Piet Noordijk & Misha Mengelberg - Journey
This is a recording of a concert by the Piet Noordijk and Misha Mengelberg quartet in 1966 in the Dutch concert hall. Great concert by two giants of Dutch jazz history. Ted Curson is a new name for me.
- Piet Noordijk - Sax
- Misha Mengelberg - Piano
- Han Bennink - Drums
- Rob Langereis - Bass
- Ted Curson - Trumpet
A bit of Melanie di B (Blackened Cities) on one-sided vinyl. Can't be bothered to do any work...
Now Playing........
Aoife O'Donovan - Fossils
Streaming on TIDAL....... Taking this out for a spin, this Aoife debut solo album, a few tracks in and she has a fantastic voice, enjoying this album quite a bit!

I opted for gardening this afternoon as it is gloriously sunny. Having a well earned cuppa or two now.
Kevin, I am in awe at your wonderful collection of vinyl. Right now I am enjoying some newly acquired Sky2. The Harpsichord is very vibrant. Really prefer DSOTM on vinyl (late 1st issue A4/B3 matrix).
