On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
The Sushi socks are on.

Bennie Wallace - In Berlin
- Bennie Wallace - Tenor sax
- George Cables - Piano
- Peter Washington - Bass
- Herlin Riley - Drums
This is a recording of a great concert Bennie Wallace gave in Berlin in 1999. Bennie Wallace plays hard bob in his own unique style, which is easily recognisable. Because this is a live concert, the tracks are long and there is lots of room for the band members to improvise on the music. Especially George Cables gets a lot of room from Bennie to show of his solo work.
Recommended if you like Bennie Wallace.
Now playing some Carlos Santana with Havana Moon, featuring great support from Booker T ,Jimmy Vaughan and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.Very crankable!

As a long time Eagles and Don Henley fan it's taken me a while to take the step into listening to this new country album from him, I shouldn't have worried all those old Henley nuances are there.
Ian Siegal - All The Rage.
Out tomorrow, Ian's first studio album with a supporting band in six years, and available for preview now.
Still arguably UK's best blues singer, IMHO, and another quality album.
Great Garage Psychedelia album from Plan 9 - Playing on Vinyl on Red Rose Records from 1984
The last album I bought of Robin Trower, apart I suspect from the one with Jack Bruce.

Thanks Dave.

Because, I couldn't stop myself from listening to some fine old Henley.
UK vinyl from '82:
Ese & the Vooduu People - The Bootleg Series, Vol 1,16/48 WAV download
Second listen, it is really good. She can sing, really sing, the songs are good, and the band is amazing for a band in their first gig. I love the raw version of Fairytale that opens the album. As Ese said on the intro to Alien, they’re f**king arrsome!
(1970)
Quite loud and because the hard driving rain as a prelude to more snow has me digging out this classic. Ripped from an early fantastic sounding Castle Label CD which IMHO is as good as it gets (excluding some vinyl, naturally).
White label promo single by JJ Cale with an unreleased trax on the b side of him and Christine sitting on their porch playing. You can even hear the crickets chirping in the background.
1993 - CD - (rip)...
