John Martyn - One World
PS - the recording of this album (amongst many others) is covered in this excellent book. A fascinating read and highly recommended.

On vinyl...
Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra - Moving Out to the Country.
Jools and famous friends go country with some great vocal performances.Wow I've just heard Brian Eno sing!

Never knew Aimee Mann fronted this band. Certainly didn't recognize her looking at the cover but it sounds goood!
Davey Spillane - Shadow Hunter, original UK vinyl.
Fancied some Uilleann pipes tonight, this is Spillane with rock band. Some traditional numbers, some Celtic pop/rock numbers, 2 songs, one original, one a Yeats setting. Spillane is a very fine piper, the songs are good. If you like the pipes, this is a very good album.
Not sure if I have played this since I bought it in Calgary the week of it's release.
Wildwood Kin - Turning Tides, WAV CD rip
Young folk trio, they harmonise beautifully, a strong set of songs, well played. Very good first album, I look forward to their second. They were the trio who played on the OGWT 3 hour special recently, they have a lot of talent and I can see why Whispering Bob had them on.
Skip Macdonald is better known as Little Axe. Part of the Bowers & Wilkins Music Club series.
Laurel Aitken - Everybody Ska! Rudi Got Married - 1980 to 1992
Just heard this on BBC Radio 6 whilst in the car, very catchy.
Really good album musical warts and all
One of the best sounding discs I have in my collection.
You go through an entire album every minute???

Their "Voices Carry" album is definitely worth seeking out.
Featuring a very young Aimee Mann.
A bit too cabaretesque sometimes for my liking but Melancholy Rose makes up for everything.
Been perusing the Beeb's "Live Lounge" videos, and came across this .............. Rag 'n' Bone Man - Gimme Shelter.
Outstanding! IMHO.
.
Rag 'n' Bone Man - Human.
Ah well, why not .................. never tire of this guy's voice.
Now Playing.......
Tomasz Stanko - Leosia
Tomasz Stanko (trumpet), Bobo Stenson (piano), Anders Jormin (double-bass), and Tony Oxley (drums).
via CD Player......... In the mood for some jazz and enjoy Tomasz's trumpet playing quite a bit, so kicking of Monday evening with Leosia.
