Because, I fancied some Cheap Thrills and fast forwarded Zappa a few decades.

My God - a man with a Naim system and into the late great Frank Zappa - thought I was alone on this rock !!!

Far from it, Tony2011, Dav301 and Nick Lees just off the top of my head are fully fledged culprits, there are others here too of course!

A mix of R&B, Soul, Funk and downright brilliant blues. Highly recommended.

Followers of Gary Clark Jr have a listen to the 3rd track Power.

His first album ain't bad either.

Belter alert!!!!

Blimey, this bloke is good.

I believe this is part of the track conflated on You Can’t Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 4

AJ Ghent Band - Live at Terminal West

Inspired by Ewen, I dug a little deeper into this gentleman's work and came across this superb live album. Do you know, I think it is even better than The Neo Blues Project! Certainly a bit longer than 22 mins and the SQ doesn't sound too bad for a live album, even on Tidal. There is also a wonderful female backing singer on the live album. Worth checking out I would say.

Just snapped up a new copy of the CD from a certain auction site.

Update - nearly at the end of this listening on Tidal. Absolute belter!!!!

Andy Sheppard - Nocturnal Tourist

Why? I'm cooking, there's a cold beer open. Oh! Is this about the music?  ;-)

He had a great live band on the tour I went to see him on. Think there was only about 200 in the audience out of about 1500 seats and we were congoing up and down aisles and at one point on the stage. What a night that was.

You Make me Feel will be in my head all night now.

That's one of those pieces you find yourself suddenly thinking of without knowing why! It's simply perfect!

I am in full agreement, hopefully it will grow on me after several spins. Love Bill and his work and my expectation was high after having the pleasure of seeing him and Thomas Morgan perform the music from the Small Town album on two consecutive nights recently.

Having played some Cara Dillon yesterday evening when I likened her to Mary Black, I thought I should play the original. This is one from Mary's early years and one of her best in my view.
