Sounding even better second time round - a lugubrious masterpiece backed by a Mexican band (maracas) with flavours a Greece before it became a favourite place to be for him.

Nice one! Got Forever Changes on CD laying around somewhere.
1986 - CD (rip)...
I remember listing to the title track, Ogarmstron, for the first time on the radio played by the late Tommy Vance.
Just superb.

BBM (Bruce - Baker - Moore) .. Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Gary Moore .. one time album recorded in 1994 before they broke up. And yes, it is as good as the names of the musicians suggest.
Been a long time since I played this .. it was well worth stumbling over it again. Play it loud.
Thanks for the tip just ordered a copy off musicMagpie for £2.59
Seconded, great shout. It arrived this morning, now ripped and streaming.
The tracks where Jack Bruce handles the vocals are very Cream-like, with Gary sounding like Eric at his best, which is not a bad thing at all.
My copy just arrived, great album, Jack Bruce vocals and the odd Cello piece as well as bass.. Great tip.

Because, I fancied some Cheap Thrills and fast forwarded Zappa a few decades.
My God - a man with a Naim system and into the late great Frank Zappa - thought I was alone on this rock !!!
Far from it, Tony2011, Dav301 and Nick Lees just off the top of my head are fully fledged culprits, there are others here too of course!
What a unique talent we lost. But this is just for you Stevie ???? Spanking time!
I believe this is part of the track conflated on You Can’t Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 4
Cheers, Nick. I just wish that song had a different title!!
Drdavid posted:That's brilliant, great story and glad that you are enjoying your old tapes. Last year I got a preloved Sony Walkman Professional WM-D6C and got out my boxes of tapes of old radio concerts recorded off FM radio and was staggered how good some of them sounded.
Quite. It's easy to forget how good FM broadcasts used to be, and the quality that cassettes could achieve.
Currently working through a charts compilation from sometime around late 1986. It's good to hear songs that have been quietly forgotten over the years.
1972 - vinyl - UK first pressing...
