On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Muddy Waters - I Can't be Satisfied - Essential Blue Archive collection. My most played Muddy.
Amy Winehouse - Back to black
On vinyl...
Donald Fagen - The Nightfly. WAV CD rip
Last album before bed, a classic, nostalgic intelligent lyrics, brilliant band, jazzy rhythms and piano, great vocals, great tunes.
On vinyl...
A+ 24/96 Led Zeppelin - How The West Was Won
Riverside - Love, Fear and the Time Machine
Released 2015
Now Playing.......
Alison Krauss - Forget About It
via CD Player....... In the mood for some of Alison's beautiful voice and music, also find Dolly Parton, Sam Bush, Lyle Lovett, and the Union Station backing Alison on this album. Love it!
The Stills-Young Band. Long May You Run. On original vinyl from 1976. The band's lone album, often overlooked. Recommended if you're a fan of NY and/or SS. Reissued last year.
Now Playing.......
Joni Mitchell - Both Sides Now
via CD player...... ending the day with Joni, a very nice album to end the day......
Rod Stewart. Every Picture Tells A Story. On original vinyl from 1971. Fantastic album, a true classic. Growing up in the 70's "Maggie May", "I'm Losing You", and the title track were staples on FM radio. Sadly, these songs now seem long forgotten.
Original 1992 CD.
Some good songs, 1 or 2 not so good. Fantastic sound quality.
Martin Simpson, Bootleg USA. Great version of Boots of Spanish Leather.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Ragged Glory. On CD from 1990. A strong album and refreshing return to the energy NY and the band had in the 70s.
From last night, on vinyl...
Coles Corner by Richard Hawley.
A Nice Sunny UK spring morning this Mozart Clarinet Concerto dovetails it beautifully. Playing on Compact Disc
Quite different from the usual trio jazz. Dreamy atmospheres are floating from one into the other. More like a musical painting...
Steve Miller Band- The Joker
Bought my copy whilst in Germany in 73. Played it to death.
Also had a great sbd Boot at the time where the band were on fire. Someone nicked it at a party one night
Enjoying this Playing on Vinyl - Cracking Live set from Peter Gabriel
