On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Cheers Ewemon - You have made me give this a spin on Vinyl on Capitol Records from1977. "Jet airliner " is magic
It's a Pablo Held day for me, quite engaging music. Didn't have him on my radar screen before...
Ongoing journey for today..
Further great album...
Now Playing........
Tomasz Stanko New York Quartet - December Avenue
via CD Player....... some nice trumpet and piano on the opening tune helps start the blood flowing, the bass and trumpet start picking up the pace on track two....... Movement begins, the week begins.........
Playing on Vinyl on Kama Sutra Records from 1971
Wes Montgomery - Bumpin'
Now Playing........
Jakob Bro - Returnings
Jakob Bro (guitar), Palle Mikkelborg (trumpet, flugelhorn), Thomas Morgan (double bass), and Jon Christensen (drums).
Streaming on TIDAL......... New release 03/23/18, on order and awaiting delivery and now available on TIDAL...... A great quartet and album is sounding mighty fine!
Added another under the belt...., you can imagine that I will buy some stuff based on my listening behavior today...
The last one before turning back home, also a great album...
(1998)
Twenty years old and still good to relax with.
Rory Gallagher in good form from 1973 - Playing on Vinyl on Polydor Records
Just a lovely uplifting session from the trio. Nice RVG recording too...1957 for goodness sake!
G
(1997)
Mogwai - Young Team
Mogwai's first full studio album release sounds as good today as it did to me back then, a very fine post-rock band that have a unique style and a great ability to draw the listener into the music. Been a while since I've got this one out to play...
Now playing.......
Florent Nisse - AUX MAGES
Florent Nisse (bass), Chris Cheek (tenor saxophone), Jakob Bro (guitar), Maxime Sanchez (piano), and Gautier Garrigue (drums)
Streaming on TIDAL....... Came across this on TIDAL and looked quite interesting....... The first two tracks are very nice and enjoying the album quite a bit, moved to favorites!
Rae opened with this tune in Brighton last night (without the Brass). Fabulous PA, really portrayed Rae's astonishing 'live' voice. My favourite singer from Blackpool
On this clip, Hannah Peel arranged the Brass & played Juno keys. I'll investigate her recent album - Mary Casio: Journey To Cassiopeia

Denis, thanks for the reminder I really must give her new album a listen, reviews are saying that there is a (fine) shift in emphasis from her debut.
Cheers
This arrived last week, but this is my first chance to play it whilst cooking dinner with my multi-room system (means volume turned up loud and doors open).
The house is definitely rocking!
(2007)
Mogwai - The Hawk Is Howling
OK, so I'm temporarily hooked on giving these Glaswegians another blast and loving every minute of it.
Dire Straights
Private Investigations: The Best of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler - CD Rip
Edward
Lars Danielsson - Tarantella
Sounding obscenely good!
A very Ambient electronic album by Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream - Playing on Vinyl on Virgin Records 1975
