Interesting. Yes, I bought the vinyl remaster, but definitely prefer my original. Didn’t help that the 7th Wave had a persistent scratch.

A great sounding, 3 CD set on Rhino, streamed via NDS; because sometimes, it just has to be the blues!

Rae opened with this tune in Brighton last night (without the Brass). Fabulous PA, really portrayed Rae's astonishing 'live' voice.  My favourite singer from Blackpool

On this clip, Hannah Peel arranged the Brass & played Juno keys. I'll investigate her recent album - Mary Casio: Journey To Cassiopeia

Denis, thanks for the reminder I really must give her new album a listen, reviews are saying that there is a (fine) shift in emphasis from her debut.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

Rae's songwriting has certainly matured & happily embraces many styles nowadays. Here's the gig where I first saw her. It was sold out & she hadn't a single piece of music merchandise to sell. Only self produced posters (William Morris style), a treasured possession.

N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton

Just finished watching a 4 part series on Netflix called The Defiant Ones. A very interesting and highly enjoyable documentary series featuring a colourful character called Jimmy Iovine (Apple Music).

Personally I think her new album is really good.

Rush Moving Pictures: original vinyl pressing: fresh and vibrant. Post conversation with undergraduate mortal daughter regarding the cinematographic de/merits of Ready Player One I was mindful of the the use of Tom Sawyer in the promotional trailers. The latter present Rush's sound in anaemic fashion, yet the original is anything but: as the skies are wide!

This hasn't reached my ears yet. May I deduce more melancholia, masochistic memorabilia and morose mayhem?
