Very rarely played, this one. In fact, despite owning it for over 20 years at a guess, I don't think I played it more than three times at most. I thought there were some reed issue, but it's a lot better than I recall.

Terrific music.

Paul McCartney. Flaming Pie. On CD from 1997. One of Macca's finest albums. Might be his most Beatle-esque solo offering. His duet with Steve Miller "Used To Be Bad" has a great bluesy groove/funk.

U2 Zooropa, original vinyl: once more I am reminded of the sheer musicality of the system in its current incarnation. Historically I have always been underwhelmed by the muddiness of the bass, the lack of dynamics and power in this and other U2 albums. Yet, since the 250.2, all that has changed. As a metal head first and foremost, (check out the helmet), I can only say that Nirvana is to be found on Earth. Thank you Naim: a gift from the gods!

Rolling Stones - Rarities 1971-2003

Not sure how rare they are but a fresh take on songs you love and think you know. Live Tumbling Dice stands out for me but there are no duffers here.

I’ve just discovered this. It’s absolutely superb, and one of the best Hilliard albums I’ve heard.
