Saw the post above from JEROEN20 and released I haven’t played this for a wile, now putting that right.

Playing on Vinyl from 1988 on Polydor Records
Julia Fischer - Yakov Kreizberg
Mozart violin concertos nos. 1, 2 & 5.
I bought this second hand CD because I did not have any of Mozart violin concertos in my collection. Based on this I wil get the other violin concertos as well because it is wonderful music and very well played by Julia Fischer.

Sorry Ted but I utterly disagree. I bought it when it 1st came out. Played it, hated it, played it again just to make sure. I still have it on pristine vinyl. Would happily swap it for something else.....................

Hi Shep, when this album came out I was sixteen and it was never of the turntable, I came from a family of nine and everyone loved it, it is one of the most played albums on my system, it would be a dull place if we all liked the same music.

Made In Heaven - CD Rip
Had forgoten how good this album is, must play it more often.

Playing on Compact Disc......Release The Pressure
Justin Adams - Ribbons.
Current album from guitarist Justin, this time featuring "vocals" from Norwegian singer Anneli Drecker, best known for her
work with Scandinavian electronic duo Royksopp.
Her vocal contribution comes in the form of wordless sounds without literal meaning.
She has a form of synesthesia, meaning that she sees sounds as having specific colours.
Yeah, whatever, .................. it's nevertheless a cracking album from Justin, whose desert trance music never fails to please.

Psychic Lemon - Frequency.rhythm.distortion.delay
A fine new album from these boys who are doing the whole psychedelic and space-rock sound so very well. This is going to be one of my top albums of the year. All good stuff and to think they record most of this in a garden shed studio not a stone's throw from Syd Barrett's old gaff, what's not to like?
I haven't looked at Tidal but you can check it out on bandcamp here
“A remarkable achievement which cements them as one of the most exciting and interesting bands in the UK at the moment” — Echoes And Dust
“Psychic Lemon clearly have a distinctive sound and right now they stand above the shoulders of many of the established modern psych acts.” — Atom Heart Mutha
"As I write this it is not yet the end of 2017 and I am already starting to think that I may well have heard one of 2018’s albums of the year. This, for me, is an absolutely brilliant piece of work that presents variations around the themes that are boldly set out in the album’s title and somehow nails then in a variety of different ways." -- Psych Insight
“We are not quite sure if Frequency Rhythm Distortion Delay is the last great record of 2017 or the first essential album of 2018” — Thee Psychedelicatessen
“A complete work, a magnum opus that exhilarates and leaves the listener spellbound.” — Dayz of Purple and Orange
“You may well end up hearing better psychedelically inclined albums in 2018 but doubtless not very many. Better start compiling that Best Of Year list now.” — Terrascope

Jimi Hendrix - Band Of Gypsies
Because Psychic Lemon got me in the mood to start listening to some Hendrix (and no, I'm drawing no comparisons ).
First vinyl LP of this epic 4-LP live set. The performance (from 1972) speaks for itself, but first impressions lead me to believe that in SQ terms, this is a big leap forward from the original 2003 CD.

This really is a lovely album.

Gregg Allman - Southern Blood, original vinyl
My album of 2017, and one of my favourite albums ever. Gregg Allman’s final abum opens with the only original song it holds, the deeply moving Only True Friend, a farewell from a musician for whom “the road always my only true friend”. The covers are well chosen elegiac songs from Buckley, Dylan, the Dead and others, interspersed with some kicking blues numbers. Despite the liver cancer that took him shortly after finishing the recording, his voice is strong, he recorded this largely with his touring band and they are stunning on every song, sensitive, powerful, funky, whatever is needed. Too many high points to pick them out. It’s one of the great rock singers going out with a masterwork which is a fitting legacy.
Couldn't agree more, Eoink. It's an excellent album.
Duke Jordan trio - Time on my hands
Phil Collins ...But Seriously (1989) - CD from Oxfam (£0.99)
One of his periodic solo albums with others rather than the ongoing Genesis output. Some really good tracks on it like Another Day In Paradise (7). He has a beautiful voice when he gets the opportunity to use it.

Händel Suites for Keyboard - Keith Jarrett
Played on piano,, these Suites are a joy. Jarrett brings the fluidity of his jazz work, a great understanding if the rhythm of the dance movements, and some lovely beauty in the reflective movements. Listening to this is a lovely way to spend time.

Great album but not as good as The Story, are you going to Stirling for the retirement party!!!!!
1969 - UK pressing (Threshold)
The Moody Blues
A St Matthew Passion with some impressive moments (Bernarda Fink and Johannes Weisser, and most of the choral numbers), but doesn't cohere all that well as a performance. The spatial recording was meant for surround playback and doesn't translate all that well in stereo, to the disadvantage of some of the singers. At the moment - my preferences for the Matthew Passion seem to vary from year to year - my preferred recordings are Herreweghe II and Gardiner. Listening to the stereo SA layer of the SACD.
Cheers,
EJ
