What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

1983 - UK pressing....
This one should have been aborted! ![]()
This is a fascinating record, well worth a try for £4 from the Erased Tapes website.

Jascha Heifetz - Tchaikovsky, Wieniawski and Sibelius violin concertos, WAV CD rip
Fantastic Naxos Historical transfers, tape hiss audible, but the music shines above it. Heifetz’s tone is lovely and rounded, his playing has the technical perfection you'd expect, but that doesn’t stop him delving deep into the emotion of these Romantic works.

More Miles.
Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa - Black Coffee

Who needs black coffee, this'll wake you up! Belter!
Hi Tony,
Never heard Born Again by Sabbath - Any good ? I remember watching a Sabbath documentary and Gillan said when they toured the album it was a party that went on for a year but they didn't want to repeat it.
I saw AC - DC with Axl Rose at The London Stadium and Axl was brilliant with the DC songs really delivered but for me Sabbath will always be Ozzy and Ronnie Dio......well more Ozzy ![]()
Hope all is well with you mate
Cheers Ian
Luciano Pavarotti
Pavarotti The 50 Greatest Track - 24/96

Edward
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

(2009)
Shpongle - Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland
Fine psytrance with psychedelic spacey synths' and beat driven electronica fusing a variety of Goan and western sounds with dance 'n trance.
1972 - UK first pressing...
Prince - Emancipation , playing various tracks from this sprawling 3 disc set ,this guy was prolific. When condensed there is enough great material to make worthwhile Prince album.

Having just mentioned this on the Jazz Tips thread for Bob, I decided to break out from my all day Miles session to play it. I hope to be visiting the VV later in the year. This album, like its stablemate, captures the atmosphere so well, as well as being superbly recorded. Definitely in my top ten of all time. Of any genre? Maybe. Probably.
Fancied a bit of geeing up this evening, so what better than an abum that includes the themes from The Big Country and The Magnificent Seven?
Original 1967 UK pressing, complete with flipback laminated sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd...

The new remasters are good. Something Else being much better than the Deluxe version (despite the lacking bonus tracks)

What a great album this is. It’s amazing that it’s lain in the vaults for so long, before emerging.

Fine record by Amen Dunes

Have you been to the Vanguard before? It’s really tiny, down steps next to a very ordinary food place. Great sound though. We stayed in the Village, about ten minutes walk away. The Blue Note is nearby too.

No, Nigel, not been before, but if there's a good act scheduled for when we're there we'll be booking tickets. If Keith Jarrett were there, I think I'd even tolerate his grunting just for the experience.

The Yardbirds & Sonny Boy Williamson - The Complete Crawdaddy Recordings.
Following a listen to "Them" ^ , still stuck down memory lane with this live set from the '60's ........... and yes, that's EC on guitar, and
not Jeff Beck, as suggested by the cover.
Just a great live set from a blues legend.
Another interesting one f of Kuhn before...

Now a bit of Deljavan, I like his style...

Paul McCartney
Flowers In The Dirt - Qobuz Streaming
