On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Playing on Vinyl from 1965 on Impulse Records
Just only got this in.
seen her royal ladyship play live a few times in the past couple of years, and been disappointed that she never played those scorchers from her first albums like " love me like a river does " or " worrisome heart". Listening to this - those tracks seem like baby steps towards the real heat.
(1985)
A bit of low level listening to some early Mary Black, nice sound quality and beautifully sung as ever.
Playing on Vinyl on Warner Brothers Records 1994.REM turning the Guitars up on this album - Love "Crush with eyeliner"

Ten Years After - Undead
A compilation of TYA live sets, mainly around North London pubs and clubs, great times and great TYA gigs
Just got back from a break and had noticed this post that I had to just give a bit more information on. This looks as if the tracks are from the re released 9 track cd from 2002 that expanded on the original release (LP in 1968). It is not a compilation, the tracks were all recorded on the night of May 14th 1968 at "Klooks Kleek" the Railway Hotel, West Hampstead, London over two live sets according to drummer Ric Lee in his notes to the 2002 release. There is as far as I can see one further track from that evening that turned up on a 2 cd version from 2015.
Haydn, Torelli, Telemann - Trumpet concertos
Played by Crispian Steele-Perkins
Why? Borrowed from my Dad, though it probably doesn't help you.

Charles, indeed you are quite right, thanks for the correction.
Cheers, Steve.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Solar Fire
MMEB starting to do prog rock which includes a great transformational cover of Dylan's "Father of Day Father of Night". Good stuff indeed, I remember seeing them play most or all of this album live in the Fairfield Hall's in '73 or '74.

Playing on Vinyl on Frontline Records 1978.......Thanks Tony - You have made me grab some Reggae - Very Chilled
Gillian Welch - The Harrow & The Harvest
I discovered this album a few weeks ago thanks to forum members. Perhaps it's just me but when the second track starts I think that the Naim app is playing silly b*****s and has switched to Aimee Mann.
It hasn't but the voices are very very similar. Both excellent to be fair.

Hi made a mistake with the title of the album. The correct title is ”US”.

Earlier today, Cream - I Feel Free Ultimate Cream a triple cd box set with a studio selection, a live selection and a Live at the BBC disc.Really highlights how the studio Cream were sometimes quirky and live they were a powerhouse, almost two different bands

Simply Red - a band I haven't listened to in a while. Must correct that soon.
I still enjoy the debut Picture Book and think that it still sounds fresh today.Have all the albums but they were far superior when they were a band and not just Mick Hucknall and some hired hands; but some great music along the way
I agree, Alan. Picture Book is my favourite Simply Red album too.

I think you need to play some Caravan, Camel, Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, Gentle Giant, Steve Hillage, King Crimson, Soft Machine etc. and then I'm sure that'll shove ELO down the list a bit!
