Agreed .............. this plopped through the letterbox today, now ripped and streaming via my obsolete NDS.
Good shout, Ewen and Nigel ................. oh, and the accompanying DVD is pretty good too.
Alexis Korner - Bootleg Him!
Mentioned by graemeH a couple of days ago, I've dug it out from the treasure trove and had forgotten just how good it was / is.
Quite a supporting cast too, with the likes of Jack Bruce, Charlie Watts, Ginger Baker, and Planty, among many others.
Now Playing.....
Jon Balke's Magnetic North Orchestra - Kyanos
Jon Balke (piano, keyboards), Per Jørgensen (trumpet, vocal), Arve Henriksen (trumpet),Morten Halle (saxophones, flute), Svante Henryson (violoncello), Anders Jormin (double-bass), and Audun Kleive (drums, percussion).
via CD Player......... continuing on with some morning jazz...... Jon and the orchestra is sounding mighty fine!
Released in January .. absolutely superb album .. not much else to say really ..

Yes Dave, I have got one of those old NDSs. Anyway the NDS will soon be Naim's best streamer short of spending £12k, assuming the NDX2 doesn't steal that crown which I doubt.
(2016)
Sadly this was to be his final album but what a good one to finish with.
Electric Light Orchestra
A New World Record - 24/96
One of my most played albums, stunning.
Edward
Woody Shaw - Imagination
Very nice recording by Woody Shaw and his quintet (with trombonist Steve Turre, pianist Kirk Lightsey, bassist Ray Drummond and drummer Carl Allen).
Ewemon mentioned another of Nik’s albums which got me searching him on Tidal and ending here.

Amazing guitarist
(1994)
Marillion - Brave (CD1 of 2)
Dark and deep subject matter about teenage suicide it's not a bunch of laughs however it is riveting, heart rending, well played and well sung and very well judged IMHO, one of Marillion's finest, the live version recorded in Holland is even better being played in front of an audience that really 'got it'.
2005 - CD (rip)...
Barry Harris - Live at Maybeck
Barry Harris playing solo jazz piano at Maybeck Recital hall.
Electric Light Orchestra
Out Of The Blue - 24/96
Edward
1996 - CD (rip)...
The Dodge Brothers: Louisa & The Devil - CD rip.
An interesting mix of skiffle, country and good time rock & roll. One of those bands I’ve been meaning to investigate for a while - and I’m glad I did.

That’s a cracking album Tony.
Had a Deep Purple moment for the champions league. As DP a shame that I didn’t have this earlier...
