On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Kevin-W posted:More from his Bobness, on a UK second press vinyl LP. "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here with You" is one of my very favourite Dylan songs:
I like the one he does with Johnny Cash on this album. Their voices work surprisingly well together.

Ry Cooder - The Prodigal Son.
Pre-ordered, for release in May, an essential album from Ry, IMHO.
Here's a taster :
Joe Zawinul: Brown Street. A big-band version of Weather Report.

Very entertaining Jazz

Recorded in 1963, but not released by Blue Note untill 1999.
Bobby Hutcherson (vibraphone), Joe Henderson (tenor saxophone), Grant Green (guitar B1-3), Duke Pearson (piano), Bob Cranshaw (bass), Joe Chambers (drums)
Jeroen,
This looked very promising so I got on Amazon intending to order a disc but alas, the asking price is $300 for a used copy. I guess this is were the advantage of streaming (which I don't do) kicks in.

There's one on a famous auction site which is asking about 1/10 of that price. Alternatively you could look on Discogs if you're comfortable with that.
Great album...

Hi Haim, That is indeed a crazy price. Besides Clive B suggestion you could also by it from Qobuz (14 euro) and burn it to disc (if you have a CD burner). But this is of course not as convenient as buying a cd for a normal price.
Regards, Jeroen.
Dexter Gordon - Great encounters live!

A lot of Patti being played recently, which has prompted me to get this out and join in. On vinyl:

Hi Res.
Didn’t think she released anything worth listening to after the iconic Broken English but this album written, co-written and backed by the likes of PJ Harvey, Damon Albarn, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds is a pleasant surprise!
